Abstract:
Disclosed is a rotational friction brake (1) regulated by the rate of change of the angular speed, comprising: a first body (10), a second body (12) rotationally attached to said first body, said second body being arranged to rotate around a rotational center axis (14) of said second body, at least one braking arm (16) rotationally attached to said second body in a pivot point (18), wherein said pivot point is eccentrically offset to said rotational center axis, said at least one braking arm comprises a braking member (21a, 21b) arranged to frictionally engage a part of said first body, said at least one braking arm having a mass center (22) placed at a distance from said pivot point (18) that is longer than a distance from said pivot point to said rotational center axis (14), wherein said braking member is arranged to frictionally engage said part of said first body. The disclosure further relates to a fishing reel (50) comprising such a rotational friction brake.
Abstract:
This invention covers an installation device for a protective spiral (1), with the purpose of facilitating the installation of a protective spiral around elongated objects (10), such as hose bundles, cables and similar objects. The installation device is formed by the feeding rolls (2,3) of a spiral-shaped protective spiral (1), which operate using machine power (4) to push the elongated cord of the protective spiral in a spiral, screw-shaped manner around the objects (10) during the feeding process.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for storing an electricity cable, comprising a holder for the cable, wherein the holder is adapted to engage at least a part of a plug, which is connected directly or indirectly to the electricity cable, wherein the holder fits within a space with a width, length and height each lying between 4 and 15 centimetres, preferably between 5 and 12 centimetres and most preferably between 6 and 10 centimetres. The invention also relates to a method for storing an electricity cable connected to a plug, particularly making use of the device according to the present invention, comprising of: placing the cable in a holder, and connecting the plug to the holder by the holder engaging at least a part of the plug.
Abstract:
A multi-reel, line-handling apparatus can include a housing, a shaft located within the housing, the shaft defining a shaft axis, a first reel located within the housing, the first reel rotatably mounted to the shaft about a first reel axis angled with respect to the shaft axis, and a second reel located within the housing, the second reel rotatably mounted to the shaft about a second reel axis angled with respect to the shaft axis. The first reel and the second reel can be rotatable with respect to the housing about the shaft axis.
Abstract:
A kite reel device having a rectangular housing providing a cylindrical frame and a spool having ribs with a v-shaped outer edge, the spool being rotatably mounted onto a cylindrical axle located within a center aperture of the frame. A reel providing a handle is mounted to one side of the frame, while a knob for holding the device is affixed to the other side. Recesses within the frame releasably secure the handle to the frame. A hole in the center of the top side of the frame accommodates the passage of kite string onto the spool. The v-shape of the spool rib outer edges assists in keeping the kite string centered and from getting tangled around the axle. Another embodiment provides a ground anchor, a shoulder harness strap, a digital counter, a multiple gearing selector, and an electric power pickup. At least one replacement spool is also provided.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a hand held cable reel (1) comprising a central cable receiving core (3) mounted between a pair of disc like end flanges (5, 7), each disc like end flange (5, 7) having a handle (9, 11) mounted on the outermost surface of the flange, the handles being radially offset from the central axis of the cable receiving core (3) and circumferentially offset relative to each other. The handles (9, 11) are substantially c-shaped having a body portion (13) and a pair of inwardly depending arms (15, 17), the free end of each of the arms facing inwardly towards the flange (5, 7) upon which it is mounted. A pair of operating flanges (161, 163) freely rotatable with respect to the end flanges may also be provided.
Abstract:
A reel intended for winding up and unwinding surplus cable, comprising a first and a second housing part (1, 2), which are connected so as to be able to rotate with respect to one another about a common axis (3) and together enclose a chamber for receiving the cable, a central member (10) being present in the chamber, each housing part having a free rim (4), which extends in a plane perpendicular to the axis (3), and comprising a slot (5), which extends as far as the free rim (4), in which during the winding operation a cable part which extends through two slots (5) into the chamber is pulled further into the chamber by rotating the housing parts with respect to one another and wound around the central member (10), and in which the housing parts are connected to one another by means of a connection which is releasable via an operating member (25).
Abstract:
Device for coiling or uncoiling wire, cable or such like, comprising at least two parts, turning in relation to one another around an axis, together defining a housing (1), which housing has a slit (13) extending mainly parallel to a central part (12) for catching and positioning the wire, after which, by turning the first part (10) in relation to the second part (11), the wire can be coiled around the central part (12), the slit (13) being positioned in the housing (1) in such a way that the wire needs to be inserted perpendicularly with respect to the central part (12), the wire remaining outside the central part (12).
