A winch assembly is described and shown herein. The winch assembly may include a housing member, a winch drum rotatably and operatively coupled to the housing member and generally held within the housing member, and a drum hub attached with the winch drum. The winch assembly may further include a recess formed in the drum hub, and a cargo connection member positioned in the recess and operatively engaged with the drum hub, where during rotation of the drum hub in a first direction the cargo connection member generally concentrically wraps around the drum hub.

Lifting device for bed structures comprising a shaft (1) operated by a speed reducer (10). The said shaft' operates two pairs of belts (20, 30, 40, 50) and each of said belts is provided with an "L" shaped bracket (23, 33, 43, 53) on which the bed net (R ) is positioned, so that, by operating the speed reducer (10), that is to say by rotating the shaft (1) in the clockwise and counter-clockwise direction about its longitudinal axis, the belts are wound or unwound with the consequent lifting or lowering of said brackets (23, 33, 43, 53), i.e. lifting or lowering of the bed net (R).

A theater rigging assembly having a beam, which is attached to structural support members of a theater or other performing arts venue. The assembly further includes a winch assembly and head block that can be positioned at any point along the beam and selectively fixed in position. The winch portion includes cables for raising and lowering battens or other loads. The head block includes head sheaves, which redirect the cables to loft sheaves that are selectively attached to the beam. The head sheaves are diagonally displaced to separate the cables. The winch portion includes a motor, a gear box, a drum and a brake. The brake includes a ratchet and two brake disks. It uses at least one friction surface that contacts at least one of the brake disks to cause a pawl to engage or disengage from the ratchet.

Seiltrommel sowie Faserseiltrieb mit einer solchen Seiltrommel Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft allgemein mit hochfesten Faserseilen arbeitende Seiltriebe wie beispielsweise Kranhubwerke, Auslegerverstellwerke, Katzfahrwerke und dergleichen. Die Erfindung betrifft dabei insbesondere eine Seiltrommel (1) für einen solchen Faserseiltrieb, mit einem Trommelkorpus (2) zum Aufwickeln des Faserseils, den Trommelkorpus einfassende Bordscheiben (3) sowie einer Seilendbefestigungsvorrichtung (9) zum Befestigen eines Seilendes an der Seiltrommel. Erfindungsgemäß umfasst die Seilendbefestigungsvorrichtung der Seiltrommel zwei nebeneinanderliegende Strangführungskanäle (13, 14), die zu einem Seilumschlagselement (15) führen, an dem das Seilende um- und zurückschlagbar ist, so dass in den beiden Strangführungskanälen jeweils ein Seilstrang zu liegen kommt, sowie ferner eine den Strangführungskanälen zugeordnete Klemmvorrichtung (26) zum Festklemmen zumindest des Seilstrangs, der um das Seilumschlagelement zurückgeschlagen ist, in dem diesem Seilstrang zugeordneten Strangführungskanal.

A sheave plate and cable assembly for a tire lift/carrier winch comprises a sheave plate (52) having spaced apart side faces (60) defining a plate thickness therebetween and having an outer peripheral edge (62) interconnecting the side faces (60) and including an arcuate cable-wrapping track (64) thereon. The end of a cable (40) extends into the sheave plate (52) between the side faces (60) and is captured therein by the sheave plate (52) which is die cast therearound. A portion of the cable (40) end extends into the sheave plate (52) in arcuate manner about the axis of rotation of the sheave plate (52) and terminates in a flattened head portion (104). The thickness of the captured cable (40) end is less than the plate (52) thickness whereby the cable (40) end is confined between the side faces (60) of the sheave plate (52) and does not extend beyond the side faces (60) into adjacent side plates (50, 51) of the sheave assembly (20).

The described winch drum device (1) comprises a first winch drum (11) with an outer surface (111) adapted to accommodate a plurality of axially displaced turns (31) of wire rope (3, 3', 3", 3"'), wherein the winch drum device (1) is provided wire rope storage means (5), such as a recess, extending at least partially radially in from said outer surface (111) of the first winch drum (11), and where said wire rope storage means (5) is adapted to accommodate one or more layers (33) of the wire rope.
