摘要:
Method and system for measured dispending of a liquid to a target reservoir. An oval gear flow meter provides two pulses from different magnets. A pipe subsystem allows liquid from an above-ground reservoir measured through the oval gear flow meter to be controllably dispensed using a controllable valve. A processor module, upon receipt of a start-signal, opens the controllable valve and, until receipt of a stop-signal, computes a volume of the liquid dispensed by the system into the target reservoir by counting the pulses as a first and second counts. An adjustable volume-per-count value is computed with the count(s) to obtain the volume of liquid dispensed. The processor generates an error when a difference between the two counts is greater than a predetermined threshold set considering a target precision setting for the dispensing system.

Embodiments of the present invention extend to methods, systems and computer program products for a liquid product book to physical reconciliation process that can be initiated and performed on a virtual real-time basis, regardless of ongoing sales transactions. Further, the present invention is configured to measure and compensate for temperature variances at every point of physical measurement in order to appropriately reconcile book and physical inventory. In addition, the present invention provides for an automated way to request, determine, and monitor the delivery of liquid product to a distribution facility in order to prevent shortages, unauthorized drops, theft, etc.
摘要:
A system and method for calculating the flow rate of a dispensing point or flow capacity of a pump and fuel delivery system and determining if the dispensing point or fuel delivery system has a blockage and/or a performance problem if the calculated dispensing point flow rate is other than expected. The calculated dispensing flow rate is calculated by collecting fuel tank level data points for a dispensing point that fall within start and stop events of the dispensing event. The slope of a fitted line to the fuel tank level data points is used as the indication of the flow rate of the dispensing point. Different mathematical techniques may be used to improve the flow rate calculation to compensate for the minimum resolution of collecting fuel tank level data and the dead time included in the data of a dispensing transaction.

Systems and methods for optimizing the operation of a fuel dispensing system comprising a pump assembly in a fuel dispenser. The fuel dispenser comprises a control system in electronic communication with a motor of a pump and with a displacement sensor operatively connected to a fuel flow meter. The pump is located within the fuel dispenser housing, and the motor is operative to turn a shaft coupled with a pumping element to pump fuel from a storage tank through the fuel dispenser. A method of controlling the fuel dispenser comprises receiving at the control system information representative of the flow rate of fuel through the fuel flow meter, receiving at the control system information representative of at least one operational characteristic of the motor, and comparing the information representative of the flow rate of fuel to the information representative of the at least one operational characteristic of the motor.

The fueling-station information-processing network (29) comprises one or more fuel-dispenser information-processing device(s) (10) that are mounted to one or more of the fuel-dispenser stations (1) and that perform the functions of controlling operation of the fuel-dispenser station and/or displaying information upon display screens for viewing by the customer. One or more of the fuel-dispenser information-processing device(s) of the fueling-station information-processing network are communicatively linked to a proxy server (14), which is communicatively linked, in turn, to a host server.

Provided is a computer-implemented, interface method by which a customer may execute transactions at a fuel dispenser having a large display and acting as a thin client in communication with at least one server. The interface is guided in that the dispenser display presents to the customer a predetermined sequence of screens, which are predetermined arrangements of objects representative of transaction opportunities. Both the arrangement of objects into screens and the sequence of screen display are reconfigurable by a fuel or retail marketer either locally or remotely from at least one host server. Also provided is a fuel dispenser having a large display and acting as a thin client in communication with at least one host server, which comprises and uses the present interface method to effect customer transactions.

A system and method of detecting fuel theft at a fuel dispenser. The dispenser has a primary flow meter, an auxiliary flow detection device positioned at an entrance of a dispenser, and an auxiliary dispenser shutoff system. A rate of flow through the primary flow meter and a rate of flow through the auxiliary flow detection device are calculated. The primary flow meter rate of flow and the auxiliary flow detection device rate of flow are compared. If the difference exceeds a threshold, a shutoff signal is provided to the auxiliary dispenser shutoff system to stop fuel flow through the dispenser.
