The invention provides practicable electrodeposition coating method and agent for a water-soluble polyimide composition capable of forming a coating film that is continuous, can uniformly be baked, is excellent in tight adhesion to a substrate, and can provide a tough baked coating.

The self-healing polymers can be made from modified polymers including polyurethanes, polyureas, polyamides and polyesters and, optionally, cross-linking agents and one or more catalysts. The self-healing polymers can be used to make cable ties, tape, conduit fittings and explosion-proof sealant materials.
