Abstract:
A reed for air injection loom, comprising a tapered groove portion formed of a divergent part and a convergent part positioned at the center of a guide groove which guides wefts or at a position on an anti-main nozzle side, wherein the divergent portion is a portion where a flow path cross-section disposed on the anti-main nozzle side of a straight groove portion is diversified downward and the convergent portion is a portion where it is disposed on the anti-main nozzle side of the divergent part and air flow from an auxiliary nozzle is converged by gradually narrowing the lower edge of the groove so as to lead the hair flow to the straight groove portion on a downstream side, the auxiliary nozzle is disposed closely to the divergent part, preferably opposedly to the divergent part, whereby the weft transporting force of the auxiliary nozzle is increased so as to remarkably reduce an energy consumption at the time of weaving of the air injection loom.
Abstract:
A nozzle device preferably for jet weaving machine, comprises a supply (20), an outlet nozzle (11, 25, 15; 32), a conduit (17) connecting the supply (20) and the outlet nozzle (11, 25, 15; 32) and a valve unit (24). For enhancing the dynamic behaviour of the nozzle device, the valve unit comprises a displaceable, soft-magnetic valve body (24) and a coil (3) for generating a magnetic field extending through the valve body, wherein the valve body is arranged within the conduit (17) such that the flowing of pressurized medium therethrough exerts a force on the valve body (24) which is opposite to the force as generated by the magnetic field.
Abstract:
This device mounted in a loom, comprises a thread guide conduit (7) consisting of upper lamellae (6) and lower lamellae (19). This conduit (7) is open at the comb side (2) so that the thrown weft thread may reach the comb (2). The path of the thread is limited at the lower side of the conduit (7) by other lamellae than at the upper side. The lamellae which form the lower enveloping surface, enter the warp in other locations than the lamellae which form the upper enveloping surface.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an auxiliary nozzle (8) for a mechanical loom. The auxiliary nozzle (8) is configured as a hollow needle (11) and is provided with a closed tip (12) and a bulging (13) in the area of said tip. In the assembled state, the bulging is directed at a reed (3).
Abstract:
The invention concerns a mechanical loom comprising a weaving reed (8) and a weft thread guide device (32) which are interconnected so as to pivot between an insertion position and a stop position. In order to insert the weft, there are provided a stationary weft-insertion device (14) with at least one blower nozzle (22) for inserting a weft thread (38) into the guide duct (36), as well as a thread clamp (16) and scissors (15). The thread clamp (16) is coupled with the weaving reed in order to clamp an inserted weft thread (38) and convey it synchronously with the guide duct (36) from the insertion position to the stop position. The scissors (15) are arranged downstream of the thread clamp (16) in the stop direction in order to cut off the weft thread immediately after it has been clamped. Since the insertion device is stationary and the thread clamp and scissors are operatively associated with the weaving reed, control of the loom is simplified such that up to sixteen different weft threads can be inserted.
Abstract:
An auxiliary nozzle having excellent directional stability and convergence of an air jet, the function of minimizing an attenuation factor of the speed of an air jet, and a comparatively simple construction, capable of being manufactured at a low cost, minimizing the consumption of compressed air and being reduced in number required for installation. In an auxiliary nozzle for air injection type looms which is provided with a front-end-closed flat portion on the inner surface of a pipe, and a nozzle port in the central portion of a part in the vicinity of the closed front end of the flat portion, a projection is provided on the part of the nozzle port which is in the vicinity of a base portion of the pipe, the size in the direction of thickness of a hollow part of the flat portion of the pipe being gradually reduced symmetrically with respect to the axis of the pipe toward the front end thereof in one or two steps at an equal variation rate, at least the front end portion of the pipe being able to be formed out of a ceramic material. Owing to this structure, an air jet of a high directional stability can be obtained. Since sudden volume variation does not occur in the pipe, superior air jet with a stable flow velocity can be obtained. Also, an ejection resistance can be minimized, and an air jet of a low speed attenuation factor can be obtained. Accordingly, the number of the auxiliary nozzles provided in a loom can be reduced, and the consumption of compressed air can also be reduced.
Abstract:
A weft inserting device in a jet loom for preventing flying troubles while keeping the flying speed of a weft at high speed. The device has a reed provided with a plurality of dents (3A, 3B, 9A, 9B) in which guide holes (4, 5, 14, 15) are recessedly provided in the front thereof. At least one wall surface (4b, 5b, 14e, 14g, 15e) for guiding air flowing through a weft inserting path (S) is provided in a wall portion of the respective guide holes of the dents. An inclination angle of the wall surface (4b, 14e, 14g, etc.) provided in a guide hole wall portion of dents disposed in a first section (L1) located at positions closer to a main nozzle of a row of the dents (3A, 9A) is set so as to suppress air leakage to the side of an opening of the weft inserting path. An inclination angle of the wall surface (5b, 15e, etc.) provided in a guide hole wall portion of the dents (3B, 9B) disposed in a second section (L2) positioned on the side opposite to the main nozzle of the row of the dents is set so as to gather air to the center of the weft inserting path.
