The present invention is directed to multiple-layer composites suitable for use as floor-coverings in the form of cut tiles or broadloom sheets, providing a durable and highly stable structure that can lay flat and remain flat with variations in temperature and humidity and provide a durable and yet soft textile face. The composite comprises a laterally- compressible fabric face bonded with an adhesive layer to a highly conformable stress- absorbing cushioning layer. The face fabric comprises closely packed looped yarns reciprocating between the top and the bottom of the fabric, protruding into the adhesive layer and emerging from the adhesive layer to the surface forming micro-spring structures. The weight, properties, density and level of penetration of adhesive are controlled to maintain lateral compressibility for the entire composite and avoid warping.

A method of manufacturing a piece of decorative fabric of applique embroidery for clothes is disclosed, in which a cast plate including a support groove having the same shape and size as those of a piece of decorative fabric, and a preform plate having the same shape as that of the support groove are prepared; the preform plate is inserted into the support groove, so that the decorative cloth is fixed between the support groove and the preform plate; in the state the preform plate is pressed down by a push member, an edge of the decorative cloth exposed from the support groove is cut to leave a margin to seam having a predetermined width; after a paste is applied to the upper surface of the margin to seam of the decorative cloth, the pasted margin to seam of the decorative cloth is picked up with a manual tool, the folded upper surface of the pasted margin to seam is ironed to primarily form a piece of decorative fabric; and the preform plate is removed from the piece of decorative fabric, thereby remarkably reducing a time required to manufacture the piece of decorative fabric and also mass producing the pieces of decorative fabrics having the same shape.

[PROBLEMS] To provide an embroidery appliqué in which the outline of an embroidery formed by yarn material precisely matches the outline of a substrate to which an embroidery is applied. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] An embroidery appliqué (10) is composed of an embroidery (6) and a transparent heat-sensitive adhesive layer (4) provided on the back (62) of the embroidery (6), wherein the embroidery (6) is formed of a substrate (1) and a yarn material (2) passed between the upper and lower surface of the substrate (1), and the substrate (1) is composed of a soluble material. Decorations other than embroidery (flocking of short fibers, coating with pigment, adhesion of cloth material) can also be applied simultaneously.

The invention concerns process embodiments and associated apparatus for greatly facilitating assembly of fabric or sheet-like materials into a finished item. The basis for the process is the mounting of the fabric or sheet-like material onto a mounting means with a repositionable adhesive. Various marks, cuts and perforations can be produced onto the mounting means which will serve as guides to multiple operations during the assembly process. Perforations or score marks can serve as guides to sew a seam, and then the mounting means torn away around the seam. Other marks can serve as guides for folding or trimming for example. The result is a process to greatly simplify and speed up assembly. Another embodiment facilitates precision decoration of fabric or sheet-like materials, through the use of strategically placed perforations and/or slits. The perforation pattern will guide decoration operations such as embroidery, and the adhered pattern can then be removed by tearing along the perforations.

The invention relates to a sewing machine (30) for use in making decorative ribbons (10) that are edged with wire (14) and trimmed with an overlay of decorative thread (18). According to the invention, an overedge sewing machine (30) is provided having a needle plate (40) which includes a wire guide channel consisting of a first groove (56) underneath the needle plate (40) and a second groove (54) along a lateral face of a tine (48).

The present invention relates to printable natural fiber based fabrics and garments. It further relates to a novel method for printing on cotton and other natural fiber based fabrics. The present invention overcomes the problems, as is seen from the prior art, namely the life of the printing and its viability of printing on the natural fibre based fabrics. It is achieved by introducing a novel approach called Modularly Adaptable Synthetic yarn based Embroidery (MASE). By introducing the MASE technique, it introduces an adequate and efficient substrate for printing multi colour photographic like printing possible on the natural fibre based fabrics (NF fabrics). Furthermore the printing lasts longer which was otherwise almost impossible. Using novel MASE substrates for printing on the NF fabrics also works out to be cost effective in comparison with other techniques.

A method (100) for manufacturing an embroidered textile, comprising the steps of: providing a first support; associating a set previously woven lace (3) with the first support; cutting the set previously woven lace (3) so as to leave, on the first support, at least one set portion (4) of the set previously woven lace (3) at a set first portion (5) of the first support (1); embroidering the first support (1) in at least one set second portion which is different from said set first portion (5) of the first support (1); associating a second support (8) with the first support; embroidering a portion (9) of said second support (8) at a set third portion of the first support which is different from both the set first portion of the first support (1) and the set second portion of the first support (1), said step of embroidering (106) a portion (9) of the second support (8) comprising a step of defining, by cutting, one or more openings (11) on the portion (9) of the second support (8) while widening such openings (11) and hiding by folding the cut edges of such openings (11) within the embroidery; removing portions of the second support (8) which are different from the portion (9) of the second support (8) at the set third portion of the first support; destroying (108) the first support (1).
