    摘要: An aqueous dispersion containing (A) a polymer formed by polymerization of (a) 1 - 100 % by weight of a compound of formula (1) wherein R 1 denotes hydrogen or methyl, R 2 is C 8 -C 30 -alkyl, C 6 -C 36 -aryl, C7-C36-aralkyl or C 6 -C 36 -cycloalkyl and n is 0 or an integer from 1 to 100, (b) 0 - 90 % by weight of at least one ethylenically unsaturated non-ionic monomer different from component (a), (c) 0 - 90 % by weight of at least one ethylenically unsaturated ionic monomer, and (d) 0 - 1 % by weight of a copolymerisable polyethylenically unsaturated monomer, the sum of the amounts of components (a) - (d) being 100 % by weight; (B) an anionic or nonionic surfactant; and (C) a defoaming agent: is suitable for the production of reactive printing pastes.

    摘要: The present invention provides a fluorescent pigment and aqueous dispersion of fluorescent pigment having improved color purity and fluorescence useful for graphic arts applications such as textile printing inks, gravure or flexographic printing inks, marker inks, and paints. The fluorescent pigment comprises a polymer and a fluorescent dye. The polymer is preferably water insoluble and comprises: from about 40 % to about 85 %, preferably about 52 % to about 65 % total weight, of a water insoluble vinyl monomer free of polar groups; from about 15 % to about 35 %, preferably about 25 % to about 35 % totol polymer weight, of a vinyl nitrile monomer; from about 1.5 % to about 4.5 % total weight of a vinyl surface active monomer; from about 0 % to about 40 %, preferably about 5 % to about 12 % total weight of a polar vinyl monomer; and from about 0.25 % to about 20 %, preferably about 1 % to 5 % of a vinyl monomer containing carboxylic acid groups. The polar vinyl monomer is selected from the group consisting of: polar acrylate esters or methacrylate esters; vinyl acetate; and, a substituted acrylamide containing hydroxyl groups or carboxylic ester groups. The invention also relates to a method of making the aqueous dispersion to the pigments.

    摘要: A fabric treatment composition comprises a fatty acid and a silicone elastomer, wherein the composition is used as a pretreatment for the fabric prior to application of ink thereto to facilitate retention and resolution of the ink on the fabric. The composition may also comprise a polyethylene glycol stearate and a fatty acid condensation product. The invention also describes a method of treating a fabric prior to printing thereon with an ink, the method comprising locating the fabric on a frame or base, applying a treatment composition comprising a polyethylene glycol stearate and a silicone elastomer to the fabric, and drying the fabric immediately thereafter. The invention further is for a method of preparing a fabric treatment composition.
