Es wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Walzenbezug, insbesondere zur Verwendung in einer Maschine zur Herstellung und/oder Verarbeitung einer Faserbahn wie einer Papier- oder Kartonbahn, angegeben, wobei der Walzenbezug zumindest eine aus einer Harzmatrix bestehende Schicht umfasst, welche mit zumindest einem Füllstoffpartikel enthaltenen Füllstoff gefüllt ist. Die Füllstoffpartikel werden in einer Polymerkomponente der Harzmatrix hergestellt und/oder aus einer Dispersion über einen Matrixtausch in die Harzmatrix eingebracht.

The invention relates to a cleaning apparatus for a paper or board finishing device (10), the said apparatus comprising means for directing a cleaning medium at the finishing device for removing the impurities in it. The cleaning apparatus comprises first cleaning means (3, 4, 5) and/or second cleaning means (2) of the roll, which first (3, 4, 5) and second cleaning means (2) are remote-controlled and arranged to direct a cleaning medium jet (20, 30, 40, 50) at desired points of the finishing device.

A system for maintaining calender rolls of a paper machine clean when producing high-gloss paper or coated paper, such as LWC or MWC. In the invention, in order to prevent a coating agent, such as coating dye, from addhering onto a smooth surface of a calender roll, and as a result, the smooth surface of the calender roll from becoming soiled, and an overheating phenomenon, the system includes a second measurement station (10) which is provided with measuring and indicator means for producing an output indicating soiledness of the web (W) or a humidity profile. When the output of the second measurement station (10) indicates excessive soiledness or an uneven humidity profile, the system performs, as a response to the output from the second measurement station (10), at least one of the following functions: cleaning of the surface of the smooth-surfaced calender roll; change of nip load in the calender (5); correction adjustment of the CD-directional humidity profile of the web (W); cutting of the web (W) and conducting it into the pulper; and/or a change of running speed of the web (W).

The invention relates to a calender intended for calendering a paper or board web (5) arranged to move, the calender at leat two rolls (1, 2) arranged in nip contact, between which the web (5) bieng calendered is arranged to travel, and a belt (3), arranged to travel through the nip formed by the rolls (1, 2), outside the web (5) beside at least one edge of the web, for preventing the rolls (1, 2) from touching each other. The distance of the belt (3) from the edge of the web (5) is altered by means of a guide device (11) while the calender is running.

Described herein are methods and systems for reducing, preventing, or eliminating wrinkles in a paper sheet during papermaking. The systems may include a dryer configured to dry a continuous paper sheet having a travel direction. The system may also include at least one roll configured to receive the dried continuous paper sheet. The systems may also include an air spreader located downstream of the dryer and upstream of the at least one roll. The at least one roll may include one or more calendering rolls. The air spreader may include a plurality of nozzles configured to expel a gas toward the dried sheet. The nozzles may be oriented in a direction at least partially opposed to the travel direction of the dried sheet.

The object of the invention is a control and an adjustment method for the fibre web machine. According to the invention -an emitting voice is measured continuously at least from one section of the fibre web machine and frequency bands (df) and/or the combinations of the frequency bands and amplitudes of the same, which correlate state and change of different process values, are separated measuring signals (f m ); - the measuring signals are compared with reference signals (f ref ), which correlate an ideal state or a desired state; and - control signals are generated from deviations of the measuring signals and reference signal (f A ), by which control signals the measured process values are returned closer to the ideal state or the desired state.

The invention relates to a method and equipment for cleaning rolls of a paper machine or board machine. In the method, the surface of a web is monitored and the soiled part of the surface of the roll is detected and localized by means of a soiling monitoring apparatus (31, 35; 60). A cleaning device (40) removes the detected soling. The invention also relates to a method and equipment for maintaining the surface of a roll, in which a web (W) travels in a paper or board production or finishing process. In the method, the web (W) and/or the surface of the roll is monitored and after a detected deviation the surface of the roll or the web (W) is momentarily spread with a liquid at the same time as the web (W) travels over said roll surface. The equipment by which the web (W) is guided over the surface of the roll, comprises an automatic monitoring device for monitoring the web (W) and/or the surface of the roll, a data processing device, a liquid spreading device, and an arrangement which enables the liquid and possible extra substances to be carried away with the web (W) traveling over the roll surface.

A method and apparatus for rapid heating of calender rolls (350, 352) for a calendering apparatus (200) is disclosed. At a heating area (800), the rolls (350, 352) are preheated, reheated, or maintained at any temperature prior to the rolls (350, 352) being placed into the calendering apparatus (300). The preferred method of heating is by induction heating. The rolls (350, 352) may be delivered to the heating apparatus (802) from an initial storage area (420) or the calendering apparatus (300). The rolls (350, 352) are transported by an overhead transfer mechanism (400). The disclosed method and apparatus greatly facilitate formation of multi-layered laminates and is particularly useful in the tire building art.

The invention relates to a system for transporting a fibre web (47) through a dry end of a fibre web processing machine from a drying section (1) to a reeling section (2) of the machine. According to the invention, the system comprises one or a plurality of groups of air modules, wherein each group of air modules is arranged for supplying and evacuating air from a predetermined, localized zone along the web run of the dry end, and wherein each group of air modules comprises at least one air supply module (9) being arranged for supplying air to the localized zone; and at least one air exhaust module (10) being arranged for evacuating air from the localized zone, wherein the air flow-rate of said at least one air supply module is balanced by the air flow-rate of said at least one air exhaust module such that dust-laden air is prevented from escaping the localized zone by other means than through said at least one air exhaust module.
