Abstract:
A roto-moulded hollow cuboid noise panel which includes three pairs of opposed surfaces, each pair of opposed surfaces connected via an adjacent pair of opposed surfaces which collectively define a hollow-interior; wherein a pair of opposed surfaces defining the largest surface areas of the cuboid are further connected via Kiss-Offs located in at least two spatially distinct regions; wherein said Kiss-Offs extend in from one surface of the opposed pair of surfaces a distance sufficient to contact the other opposed surface.
Abstract:
A fastening element (1) for fixing a plurality (2) of sound-absorbent and/or sound-insulating panels to an upright (3), for realising a sound-absorbent and/or sound-insulating barrier (100) along a communication pathway, and a relative barrier (100). The plurality (2) of sound-absorbent and/or sound- insulating panels comprises a sound-absorbent and/or sound-insulating panel (5, 6) comprising a lateral wall (50, 60) which is provided with a projection (51 ) or a recess (61 ). The fastening element (1) comprises: a plate (10) which affords a through- opening (11), which through-opening (1 1) originates from a first flank (10a) of the plate (10) and is conformed for receiving a coupling portion (4) of the upright (3) so as to constrain the plate (10) to the upright (3); an anchoring portion (12) which is C-shaped, which originates from a second flank (10b) of the plate (10) and which is dimensioned such that when the fastening element (1) and the panel (5, 6) are assembled, it internally contains the projection (51) or is contained internally of the recess (61) so that the panel (5, 6) is fixed to the upright (3).
Abstract:
Disclosed is a noise abatement panel, particularly for roadside use. The panel includes a magnesium oxide board on either side, with a polystyrene panel in between. In a preferred form, the polystyrene includes cut out recesses to improve low frequency acoustic attenuation.
Abstract:
A fence comprising a first and a second pole and a first and a second opposing wall extending between the two poles, thereby defining an interior space for containing a sound suppressing material, the walls comprising profiles detachably connected by a connection member, said connection member comprising two complementary shaped assembling means, and an assembling means for providing stabilization in the vertical direction.
Abstract:
Supporting pillar for a wall constructed of several rod-shaped wall elements placed on top of each other. In order to provide a support pillar that not only provides a support for the wall but also can hold the wall elements against each other, a resilient tensioning device (40), among other things, is suggested that is displaceably guided along the pillar (32), having a lower end (44) that engages the supporting pillar (32) and an upper end (70) that engages an upper surface of the wall.
Abstract:
The acoustic barrier (10) includes an acoustic insulation body (20) composed of a substantial proportion of uncomminuted rice hulls and a casing (13) enclosing the body of rice hulls. The casing (13) provides strength, permeability to sound waves, and inhibits access of vermin and birds to the body (20). The rice hulls may be bonded together or not. The density of the body (20) can be chosen to attenuate expected noise frequencies. Multiple layers of different densities are possible. Perforations (17) in the casing faces (11, 12) pass sound to the body (20) and impede bird and vermin access. An air gap (22) between the casing (13) and body (20), and an intervening screen or membrane can be provided. A method of noise reduction is also provided.
Abstract:
A panel system for use primarily as a fencing system comprises plastics material posts (4) and plastics material panels assembled from side members (2), intermediate members (3), if necessary, and a plurality of sub-panels (1) framed by the side members (2).
Abstract:
A roto-moulded panel adapted to connect to an l-Beam post without the need for external fasteners via a slot including a number of contact points there along which contact the flange.
