Abstract:
Lock assembly comprising a housing, wherein the lock assembly is provided with a primary blocking element, wherein the primary blocking element is fixed with respect to the housing against translation in the direction of the bolt path, wherein the bolt assembly and the primary blocking element comprise a first abutment surface and a second abutment surface, respectively, wherein the second abutment surface faces towards the extended position, wherein the second abutment surface, when the bolt assembly is in the extended position and the primary blocking element is in the primary blocking position, abuts the first abutment surface in a primary abutment point, wherein the normal vector of the abutting abutment surfaces at the primary abutment point is under an angle in a range of one to thirty degrees with respect to the bolt path.
Abstract:
A latch assembly is provided where a latch bolt is moveable to open and close a door by unblocking pivotal movement of the latch bolt. Turning a door knob or door handle does not directly result in a corresponding retraction of the latch within a sleeve, but rather unblocks the bolt to freely pivot away from a latched position. In some embodiments, the latch assembly may include a sleeve that allows for a backset to be infinitely adjusted relative to an aperture of the sleeve. In some embodiments, the latch assembly may further include a dead latch to provide additional security against forced entry.
Abstract:
A door lock assembly for use with a door having a frame element that includes a main body and a pair of opposed sides that forms a channel therebetween. One of the sides of the main body has a connector portion. The assembly also includes a movable locking assembly that is coupled to the connector portion of the frame element and has one or more elongated locking elements that is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The assembly also includes a latch assembly configured for coupling a door to a door frame, and if desired an actuator assembly.
Abstract:
A vehicle door lock (106) and latch (104) assembly is provided whereby a key may be used to lock the door (100) and to prevent rotation of the outside door handle (108). A lock handle (116) is provided inside the vehicle door (100) for overriding the key lock (110) to permit the inside and outside handles (114, 108) to operate to open the door. Both the key lock (110) and the lock handle (116) when turned operate a linkage (172, 168) which is connected to the locking cam (158) enabling the locking cam (158) to be moved between its locked and unlocked positions. Even with the lock handle (116) and the key lock (110) in the locked position, the inside handle (114) can be turned to move the locking cam (158) to the unlocked position and to open the door (100). The outside handle (108) can now be used to open the door also. The outside handle (108) can also be released for operation by turning the key in the key lock (110) to the unlocked position.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A bolt mechanism which comprises a rotatable locking bolt (1) arranged on a bolt axis (2) parallel with the surface of the door, in the locking position of which bolt, a locking slide (4) included in the bolt mechanism is located behind a locking surface (6) of the locking bolt (1) locking the bolt mechanism, a striking plate (11), in which there is an opening (7) and a magnetic element (10) magnetising the locking bolt (1) into the opening (7), moving in the depth and horizontal direction of the opening, a spring (5) fastened from one end to the locking bolt (1) and from the other end to a body (18), and a front shield (3). The invention has been implemented such that the magnetic element (10) is arranged to slide and rotate in front of. the locking bolt (1) as the locking bolt (1) goes into the opening (7) of the striking plate (11), that the magnetic element (10) rotates the locking bolt (1) in the opening direction of the door and that, in the open position of the bolt mechanism, the spring (5) is arranged to hold the locking bolt (1) substantially on the plane of the front shield (3) of the lock.
Abstract:
Door lock, which comprises a pivoted latch (5), a striking plate (6) disposed in the doorframe opposite the door, into which striking plate the pivoted latch (5) is arranged to turn in the locking position, and also a locking slide (4) turning the latch. The invention is implemented in such a way that installed into the lock is a tightening part (1), which directly or indirectly wedges the locking slide (4) farther away and thereby turns the latch (5) farther into the striking plate (6) when the door is pushed closed.
Abstract:
A device (11) for openable locking of an openable element (10), comprising a latch housing (16) having a latch (17) being adjustable between a protruding position and a retracted position, and a movably arranged arm (18) cooperating with the latch (17), wherein the arm (18) is arranged for connection with a control device (12) for controlling the latch (17) through the arm (18). The arm (18) is arranged with a blocking surface (37) for engaging a portion (42) of the latch (17) in the protruding position of the latch and thereby forming a blocking function for preventing the latch (17) from being displaced into the latch housing (16) due to a force applied on an outer side (31) of the latch (17) outside the latch housing (16). The device (11) comprises a movably arranged unblocking element (19) having a strike surface (41) for cooperation with an element (13) outside the latch housing (16), and a portion (40) for cooperation with the arm (18), wherein the unblocking element (19) is arranged for unblocking the blocking function when a force is applied on the strike surface (41) of the unblocking element (19).
Abstract:
Lock, for doors, windows and the like, comprising a forend (10), a spring bolt (120) with a bolt latch (130) and a blocking device. The spring bolt and the bolt latch are together axially displaceable relative to the forend. The spring bolt is fixed to the bolt latch, rotatably about a rotation axis (131) which is substantially perpendicular to the direction of axial displacement of the spring bolt and of the bolt latch. The blocking device is switchable between a release position, in which rotation of the spring bolt about the rotation axis is allowed, and a blocking position, in which the position of the spring bolt relative to the bolt latch is fixed. In order to achieve a reduction of the necessary operating force, the blocking device comprises a first (160) and a second (170) linearly displaceable element, as well as at least two pairs of sliding surfaces (125, 164, 163, 174) interacting in pairs, which sliding surfaces are disposed on the spring bolt, the first displaceable element and the second displaceable element, and are arranged to convert a rotational motion of the spring bolt to the respective linear displacement motions of the first and the second displaceable element.
