Abstract:
The invention relates to a locking device (100) for doors (101, 102) particularly sliding glass doors and the like, comprising: a lock unit (2) to be controlled by a key (20) such as to lock the doors in a closed position and unlock them to allow the relative motion thereof, fastening removable means (1) to at least one of the doors suitable to support the lock unit (2) and mechanically cooperate with the same to lock the doors in said closing position. The device is characterized in that said fastening means are provided with at least one elastically yielding element (12) intended to act on a surface of said at least one door to reduce the backlash between the surface and the fastening means and avoiding that the surface may be damaged while assembling and removing the fastening means.
Abstract:
A locking apparatus (1) comprising: a body (10), an arm (20) and a tapered region (30); wherein relative movement between the arm (20) and the tapered region (30) extends the arm (20) from the body (10). In use the arm (20) flexes to extend beyond the body (10). Example embodiments are suitable for use in securing a roller shutter in position.
Abstract:
An electronic key (20, 120) including an internal power source (31, 131) is provided for transferring electrical power to a merchandise security device (40, 140) to operate a mechanical lock mechanism. In one embodiment, the key transfers power to the device via electrical contacts (36, 38) disposed on a transfer probe (25) of the electronic key and corresponding electrical contacts (45, 46) disposed within a transfer port (42) of the device when the transfer probe engages the transfer port. In another embodiment, the key transfers power to the device via inductive transfer as a result of passing an electrical current through an inductive coil (126) disposed within a transfer probe (125) to generate a magnetic field in the vicinity of a corresponding inductive coil (146) disposed within a transfer port (142) and thereby induce an electric current in the inductive coil of the device. In other embodiments, the electronic key is programmed with a security code and the key initially programs the merchandise security device with the security code and subsequently determines whether the security code of the key matches the security code of the device to permit the key to transfer power to the device.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a securing assembly for a sliding door having at least two leaves that can be moved in opposite directions, comprising a carrier device for arrangement on the inner faces of the leaves and a covering strip for arrangement on the outer faces of the leaves, wherein the covering strip is held on the carrier device means of a connecting section passing through the gap between the leaves, and wherein the covering strip at least partially covers the gap between the leaves when the leaves are closed.
