Embodiments of the present invention are directed to security systems for securing an item of merchandise from theft or unauthorized removal. For example, the security system may include a sensor configured to be coupled to the item of merchandise and a base configured to be secured to a support surface and to removably support the sensor and the item of merchandise thereon. The security system also includes a power source operably engaged with the sensor and/or the base, and an energy harvesting mechanism operably engaged with the power source and configured to generate electrical energy to be stored by the power source.

Refere-se o presente objeto a um inédito e funcional dispositivo registrador de abertura de malas de viagens e similares, com o objetivo de proteger as malas nos saguões de aeroportos, rodoviárias, navios e outros com um sensor de movimento emitindo um alarme sonoro quando alguém tentar furtar a mala durante a distração do usuário, com função de monitoramento da abertura da mala, indicando a data e horário da violação, ou seja, da tentativa de furto da mala controlada e violada, através de um equipamento conectado por fiação a baterias recarregáveis internas, com entrada para carregamento pelo padrão micro-USB e provido de um sistema de contador de data e de horário, alertando o usuário com indicação luminosa e sonora.
Abstract:
An alarm device configured to monitor retail merchandise on a retail pusher system is provided. The alarm device includes a triggering mechanism that activates an alarm when retail merchandise is removed from the retail pusher system. The alarm makes store personnel aware that retail merchandise has been removed from a particular pusher system. In certain embodiments of the invention, the alarm device is disposed on a front stop of the retail pusher system. A biasing member of the pusher system biases retail merchandise into a switch of the alarm device. In this configuration, the alarm device may include a plunger switch that activates an alarm when retail merchandise is not biased into the plunger switch.

Verfahren und Tragvorrichtung zur Sicherung von einen Signalausgang und eine Eingabeeinrichtung aufweisenden elektronischen Geräten gegen Entnahme, wobei mittels eines Datenverarbeitungsprogramms ein über die Eingabeeinrichtung eingegebener Code an dem Signalausgang ein bestimmtes Signal erzeugt, mit welchem eine das elektronische Gerät sichernde Verriegelungseinrichtung beaufschlagt wird, und dass die Verriegelungseinrichtung das Signal mit einem vorbestimmten Sollsignal vergleicht und bei Übereinstimmung die Verriegelungseinrichtung in ihren Entriegelungszustand versetzt wird.

A system for securing and charging handheld electronic devices of different charging voltages is disclosed. The system can include a security device with two charging ports (52,55) to provide the ability to charge the battery of the handheld electronic device at two different charging voltages. The system can include an alarm activated when an alarm switch (50) is activated or when the charging cable connected to the charging ports or the handheld electronic device is disconnected.

An electronic key (20, 120) including an internal power source (31, 131) is provided for transferring electrical power to a merchandise security device (40, 140) to operate a mechanical lock mechanism. In one embodiment, the key transfers power to the device via electrical contacts (36, 38) disposed on a transfer probe (25) of the electronic key and corresponding electrical contacts (45, 46) disposed within a transfer port (42) of the device when the transfer probe engages the transfer port. In another embodiment, the key transfers power to the device via inductive transfer as a result of passing an electrical current through an inductive coil (126) disposed within a transfer probe (125) to generate a magnetic field in the vicinity of a corresponding inductive coil (146) disposed within a transfer port (142) and thereby induce an electric current in the inductive coil of the device. In other embodiments, the electronic key is programmed with a security code and the key initially programs the merchandise security device with the security code and subsequently determines whether the security code of the key matches the security code of the device to permit the key to transfer power to the device.
