Abstract:
An apparatus for generating energy from a flowing liquid, the apparatus including: - a body with a continuous, closed surface; - a shaft on which the body is rotatably arranged, the shaft suspended to rotate freely; - a generator connected to the rotatable body or to the rotatable shaft.

Abstract:
The invention is a wave energy device which optimizes energy conversion from waves with a stable submerged platform coupled to compliant chain of floats ("pods") which are connected to the platform by piston pumps. Wave action drives pumps to deliver pressurized water to a hydro turbine coupled to an electric generator for delivery of electric power to shore via a submarine cable. Alternatively, the pressurized water may be delivered to shore through pipes on the ocean floor, to generate electric power, also as input flow for reverse osmosis potable water production and for cooling applications.
Abstract:
Abstract:

Abstract:
A support system for a marine turbine installation including at least one turbine unit (3), the support system including a support column (1) or two or more support columns (1) which are arranged to be installed vertically, characterised by a turbine support assembly (2/14) including a horizontally arranged turbine support structure (4/15) adapted for displacement lengthways of the associated support column or columns, at least two turbine units (3) operationally carried by the support structure and means (41/44, 26/41, 52/55, 65/66) for enabling selective displacement of the support member (4, 15) lengthways of the associated column or columns, and in that the support structure includes an elongate member profiled in such manner that when the flow of water relative to the support assembly is bi-directional, the support structure member is so profiled so as to minimise water flow disturbance what ever the direction of the bi-directional water flow.
Abstract:
A wind energy conversion apparatus comprising a supporting structure is presented. The apparatus further comprises shaft having a first and a second end, which is rotatably journalled in said supporting structure, as well as at least one rotor blade having a first end and a second end, which rotor blade is mounted on said shaft with both ends. The object of the presented wind energy conversion apparatus is to improve the known apparatus and to provide an apparatus which is capable of converting a larger amount of wind energy into other forms of energy. Accordingly wind energy conversion apparatus according to the invention is to that end characterized in that the rotor blade is provided with additional wind capturing means.

Abstract:
A wind powered generator (1) has an axially extending turbine rotor (2) including at least one axially extending turbine blade (6). The turbine rotor (2) is mounted on a rotor shaft (4). A frame (8) supports the rotor shaft at each end of the rotor. At least one electrical generator is coupled to the rotor for generating electricity from the rotation of the rotor.
