Abstract:
A foldable framework is disclosed, with a base member (1) and an upper support member (2). Legs (3,4,5) extend between the base member (1) and the upper support member (2). The legs (3,4,5) are fitted to the base and support members at the vertices of an equilateral polygon such as a triangle and are joined to at least one of the base (1) and upper support (2) at the location points via ball joints (8). At least one of the ball joints comprises an enclosure surrounding a ball having a laterally projecting portion connected to the leg. The enclosure wall is configured to define a track for the portion of the leg projecting from the ball. When folded, the legs lie between the base and support members. The framework is erected by turning the base relative to the top, during which the legs move to, and then past, being perpendicular to the planes of the base (1) and top (2). The framework may be folded e.g. for storage, by reversing the turning movement.
Abstract:
An upholstered seating furniture frame (4) comprises a seat frame part (6) and at least a first leg part (8) connectable to the seat frame part (6). The seat frame part (6) comprises a seat frame structure (14, 16, 18, 20) which is at least partly made from hollow tubes. At least one of the seat frame part (6) and the first leg part (8) comprises a supporting device (72). The supporting device (72) is adapted to align and hold the first leg part (8) mounted to the seat frame part (6) in a self-standing intermediate assembly state. At least one of the seat frame part (6) and the first leg part (8) comprises at least portions of a final connecting device (76, 78, 80, 38, 104) adapted for final connection of the first leg part (8) to the seat frame part (6) for transforming the self-standing intermediate assembly state into a self-standing ready-to-use state.
Abstract:
Abstract:

Abstract:
The present invention comprises a furniture assembly using magnets, comprising fitting recesses which are formed on a first assembly surface of a first furniture member, permanent magnets which are secured on the insides of the fitting recesses, and metal members which are provided on a second assembly surface of a second furniture member to be assembled on the first assembly surface and which stick to the permanent magnets, as well as an upper plate, a lower frame which is linked to the lower part of the upper plate and supports the upper plate, and at least one permanent magnet which is (are) fitted to the lower surface of the upper plate and secures (secure) the upper plate and the lower frame due to magnetic force, thereby providing a table which can easily be assembled without any adverse effect from the material or the thickness of the upper plate.
Abstract:
A connector comprises first and second tubular couplers (3, 5) and a tubular locking collar (7), the locking collar comprising at least one radially extending locking rib (47, 49) comprising longitudinally opposed locking faces. Each coupler is formed with a respective locking formation (15), the connector being arranged such that each coupler can be mated together such that each locking formation is adjacent a respective one of the locking faces of the locking rib. Rotation of the collar (7) relative to the couplers (3, 5) is operative to cause each locking formation to engage with a respective locking face to lock the couplers together such that relative movement between each coupler and the collar along the longitudinal axis is resisted. Thus the collar and couplers are arranged when locked together to prevent relative rotation between the couplers, and also to prevent relative longitudinal movement between the couplers.
