Abstract:
The invention relates to a structural element with at least two frame elements and at least one hinge, said hinge enabling the frame elements to be positioned at different angles with respect to each other. Said frame elements stretch over a space, the shape thereof depending on the angle between the frame elements.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a table (2) of a type which can be moved between storage and in use positions and which is free standing in both positions. The table typically includes at least two legs (12) connected to support arms (16) which are moveable between the two positions and which, when in the in use position engage with a frame member (34) on the underside of a table top via engagement means (26, 28) having teeth which interlock and thereby secure the leg support arms to the frame member and provide support for the table top (6).
Abstract:
A foldable framework is disclosed, with a base member (1) and an upper support member (2). Legs (3,4,5) extend between the base member (1) and the upper support member (2). The legs (3,4,5) are fitted to the base and support members at the vertices of an equilateral polygon such as a triangle and are joined to at least one of the base (1) and upper support (2) at the location points via ball joints (8). At least one of the ball joints comprises an enclosure surrounding a ball having a laterally projecting portion connected to the leg. The enclosure wall is configured to define a track for the portion of the leg projecting from the ball. When folded, the legs lie between the base and support members. The framework is erected by turning the base relative to the top, during which the legs move to, and then past, being perpendicular to the planes of the base (1) and top (2). The framework may be folded e.g. for storage, by reversing the turning movement.
Abstract:
Auto-deployable furniture having a top panel and a collapsible base movable between collapsed and deployed positions. The base has opposing side panels spaced apart when in the deployed position and are adjacent to each other when in the collapsed position. A top brace spans between the opposing sidewalls and is fixed to the top panel at an off-center portion. Movement of the base between the deployed and collapsed positions causes the top brace to automatically fold or unfold at the intermediate portion, thereby automatically pivoting the top panel relative to the base. In the deployed position, the top panel is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the base, and in the flat, collapsed position, the top panel is parallel to the longitudinal axis.

Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention are directed to trampolines and component parts including a frame assembly to fold a fixed or foldable trampoline from an expanded state to a collapsed state or vice-versa. In one embodiment, a frame assembly includes a base frame member, two peripheral frame members and two connecting members connecting the two peripheral frame members to the base frame member. The two peripheral frame members are also connected to a center joint which may slide up and down a center frame post via a folding mechanism which may include a crank shaft and an elongated threaded member. In some embodiments, the frame assembly may include hydraulics and the two peripheral frame members may be off-set relative to one another. Embodiments of component parts for the trampoline may also include a plurality of net frame members, a foldable ladder, a wheeled support and a frame pad.
Abstract:
The invention relates to improvements in the table tops for tables and the tables themselves. The improvements to the table tops is in the form of at least angularly offsetting edges of the table top to allow the same to be more efficiently used, particular in conjunction with other similarly formed table tops of tables to form a group of table which allows efficient use of the same and the space in the room. The invention also provides for an efficient adjustment means which allows the adjustment of the height of the table top with respect to the floor to be performed by the user.
Abstract:
A collapsible structure for supporting a surface comprises legs with connecting members therebetween and means for allowing the structure to be transformed between erected and collapsed configurations such that the largest external horizontal dimension of the structure in the collapsed configuration does not exceed the largest external horizontal dimension of the structure in the erected configuration. The transforming means comprises two folding members disposed on opposite sides of the structure. Each folding member is pivoted adjacent the central region thereof and each end of each folding member is pivotably mounted adjacent a corresponding leg of the structure. One or both folding members is provided with a cover member adapted to cover the central pivot region when the structure is in the erected position thereby reinforcing the central pivot joint.
