Abstract:
A printed media display system includes a media mounting surface carrying discrete male touch fastening elements arranged in a field extending across the surface, and print media in the form of a flexible sheet having a fastening side and a print side, the fastening side featuring engageable fibers in a fibrous field extending across a length and width of the flexible sheet. The system exhibits particularly good wrinkle propagation and engaged alignment properties.
Abstract:
A cup holder for an associated stroller includes a cup for releasably holding therein an associated drink container and a base detachably connected to the cup. The base includes a mounting member releasably connecting the cup holder to an associated stroller bar and a tightening mechanism separately engaging the associated stroller bar for tightening the base against the associated stroller bar and holding the cup holder at a predetermined location on the associated stroller bar.
Abstract:
A silent fastener system having a hook portion and a loop portion wherein the hook portion has a base with hooks attached thereto. The base is laterally movable relative to the loop portion so that lateral movement of the base selectively moves the hooks into and out of the hook guide. The hooks are inserted into the loop portion by moving the base in a first direction so that tips of the hooks advance into the loop portion. The hooks become locked in the loop portion. The hooks are unlocked by moving the base in a second opposite direction causing the loops to retract out of the loop portion without producing sound so that the hook and loop portions separate easily with little production of audible sound. Linear or curved hooks may be used.
Abstract:
Example panel assemblies with frost inhibiting seal members are disclosed herein. Some example panel assemblies disclosed herein are particularly suited for creating a blast freezer (for food and other products) by using the panels in cordoning off a relatively small quick-freeze area within a larger freezer room. In some examples disclosed herein, a touch-and-hold fastener (e.g., VELCRO) connects two or more insulated flexible panels along their adjoining vertical edges to span the width of a supporting frame that is wider than a width of a single panel. To seal the joint and/or inhibit frost from developing along the joint, some example panel assemblies disclosed herein include a seal member with touch-and-hold elements plus sealing edges extending laterally in opposite directions. In some examples disclosed herein, the touch-and-hold elements couple two panels together while the sealing edges (e.g., foam strip or double looped sheet of material) block air from flowing through the touch-and-hold elements.
Abstract:
The device (7) for securing and retaining at least one electrical harness (2) in a turbomachine comprises: • at least one hollow profiled element (10) that extends in one direction and has at least two slots (11) of approximately the same dimension and; • a clamping element (1) intended to retain said at least one harness (2) in position in a manner parallel to the hollow profiled element (10). The clamping element (1) comprises: • a touch-and-close tape (5) designed to cooperate with the width of the slots (11) so as to allow it to pass on both sides of the profiled element (10) and; • an end stop (4) secured to the tape (5), said end stop (4) preventing said tape (5) from passing through one of the slots in the profiled element (10).
Abstract:
A stemware stabilizer apparatus engages a piece of stemware between the stem and foot of the stemware to prevent tipping over. The stabilizer apparatus includes stabilizer body 10 having upper side 12 and lower side 14. Contact surface 20 is defined on lower side 14 of stabilizer body 10. Contact surface 20 is positioned to contact an upper side of a foot on the stemware. A stem receiver slot 18 is defined in stabilizer body 10 allowing passage of the stem. The stem protrudes upwardly through slot 18 when the apparatus is installed on the stemware. A concave chamber 26 is defined by lower side 14 of stabilizer body 10 and shaped to at least partially receive the foot. Stabilizer body 10 applies a downward force against the foot and includes a sufficiently heavy material to prevent the stemware from tipping over under some conditions.
Abstract:
A stemmed glass holder comprising a glass holding portion and a resilient portion. The glass holding portion comprises an aperture, a periphery of the aperture defining a bowl support edge adapted to abut an underside of a bowl of the stemmed glass. The glass holding portion also comprises a passage via which a stem of the stemmed glass is slidable into and out of the aperture. The resilient portion normally blocks the passage, but is moveable to enable the stem to be slid through the passage.
Abstract:
An organizing device with rubberized twist ties. The organizing device includes a body piece and a back piece designed such that the back piece fits into the body piece to form an enclosed unit. The back piece can be fitted with various attachment devices, such as a suction cup or a magnet, for mounting the organizing device to different types of surfaces. The organizing device further includes small rubberized twist ties, threaded through the body piece, which can be used for hanging or securing small items from or securing items to the device.
Abstract:
A releasable hanging system having a loop fastener component (106) and a hook fastener component (114). A significant majority of the male touch fastener elements (116) of the hook component each extend to a distal tip (408) to overhang the component base (406) in a single, common direction. The fastening system can be used to hang an object (118) such as a picture on a vertical surface (112) but still allow adjustment by raising at least part of the hung object with respect to the vertical surface.
