Fastening device for the releasable connection of orthogonally abutting components (10, 20) of knock-down structures, comprising a base member (1; 6, 7) fixedly attached with a screw (5) onto component (10) of the knock-down structure and a latching member (2) pivotally attached with a screw (4) onto a second component (20) thereof. The base member (1; 6,7) comprises an elongate parallelepipedal section with a medially extending inverted L configured member having sides (13, 14; 73, 74) and transverse grooves (17, 18; 77, 78) at either side of the inverted L configured member. The latching member (2) is a continuous Π-section with an elongate side (21) and side legs (22, 23) extending at bottom ends (27, 28) respectively adapted to fit within the transverse grooves (17, 18; 77, 78) whilst the elongate side (21) of latching member (2) thoroughly abuts a side (14; 74) of the inverted L configured member when the fastening device is set at locked condition.

The invention relates to a bracket (10,20) for use in a modular construction system, wherein plates (5) are mechanically connected in a releasable manner to form a structure. The plates (5) are provided with at least one hole (7) in a part thereof, wherein the hole (7) is configured for being coupled to the bracket (10,20). The bracket (10,20) comprises: i) at least two foot portions (12,22) for being coupled to respective plates (5), wherein each foot portion (12,22) comprises a gripper element (13,23) for being inserted into the hole (7) of the plate (5) and ii) a linking member (11,21) connecting the at least two foot portions (12,22) and establishing a predefined fixed distance and a predefined fixed relative orientation between said foot portions (12,22). The gripper element (13,23) is configured for enlarging a diameter in at least one direction in a plane parallel to the plate (5) to obtain a friction coupling between the bracket (10,20) and the plate (5) or between the bracket (10,20) and a further bracket (10,20) provided from another side of the respective plate (5), when activated in operational use, and for reducing the diameter of the gripper element (13,23) in a first direction (D1) of the plane parallel to the plate (5) to release the bracket (10,20) from the plate (5), when deactivated in operational use.

A method, a locking device and a set of panels (1), preferably for a furniture product, including a panel (2) and an adjacent panel (3), wherein the panel (2) includes a groove (21) and at least one hole (22) connected to the groove (21) via an opening (23), the adjacent panel (3) includes a first edge (31) that is configured to be arranged in the groove (21) of the panel (2), and the panel (2) includes a locking device (4) configured to lock the first edge (31) of the adjacent panel (3) in the groove (21) of the panel (2), wherein the locking device (4) includes a cylinder (41) and a lever (42) connected to the cylinder (41), the cylinder (41) is configured to be arranged in the hole (22) in the panel (2), the cylinder (41) is an eccentric cylinder (41) including a top and bottom base(43, 44) and a locking surface (45) connecting the top and bottom base (43, 44), the cylinder (41) is configured to act as a cam when the cylinder (41) is turned about an axis (A) in the hole (22), and the lever (42) is configured to, when turned, turn the cylinder (41) about the axis (A) between a mounting position and a locking position, wherein in the mounting position the first edge (31) of the adjacent panel (3) is free to be arranged in the groove (21) of the panel (2) and in the locking position a part (45a) of the locking surface (45) of the locking device (4) extend into the groove (21) through the opening (23) and lock the adjacent panel (3) in the groove (21).

The present invention relates to a device (100) for associating furniture articles comprising a base (10) partially associated with at least one structural element (20) of the furniture article, the base (10) being configured to receive at least one blocking element (30), the blocking element (30) being provided with at least one manipulable ex-0 tension (31) configured to be operated by the user, the blocking element (30) being provided with at least one blocking extension (32), the blocking extension (32) being configured to selectively secure and deflect the base (10) to the structural element (20) by operation of the manipulable extension (31), the device (100) allowing the association between structural elements in a fast and practical manner, without it being necessary to damage the article for this purpose, and promoting easy handling of the device by a user without the need of using any tools. The present invention also relates to a method of associating furniture articles in harmony with the device (100) proposed in the present invention.
