Abstract:
A ball separator is utilized to mount and insert a plurality of ball bearings into mating grooves in a propeller hub and propeller blade. The ball separator has a link portion connecting a plurality of pockets. The pockets support spaced ones of said ball bearings. The pockets have a surface that includes at least two distinct surface portions. A central surface portion closely matches an outer periphery of the ball bearing, while a second portion formed around the first portion is spaced by a slightly greater amount. The second portion is not in contact with the ball bearing, and thus friction is reduced and clearance is provided for circulation of oil. On the other hand, the second portion does provide support to hold the ball bearing within the ball separator when the ball separator is being inserted or removed into the grooves. In addition, a material is developed for forming the ball separator with the material minimizing stick-slip problems. The material is a Nylon 6/6 filled by PTFE and a fluorinated lubricating oil to a total combined additive level of between 6 and 12% by weight.
Abstract:
A linear motion guide apparatus wherein balls are retained from front and rear sides thereof in load ball raceway grooves (5, 10) by ball retaining portions (21) of ball chains (20) to prevent the balls from falling, opposed surfaces of a track rail and a movable block being drawn close to connecting portions to increase the depth of the load ball rolling grooves (5, 10) with a shape of a cross section of each ball rolling groove which is perpendicular to the axial direction thereof set close to the shape of an outer circumference of a central cross section of each ball.
Abstract:
A ball chain, or a ball chain suitable for a linear guide device provided with a Gothic arched ball-rolling groove in particular, in which a number of balls are arranged in a row and held rollably and assembled in a ball-endless track of the linear guide device for an endless slide, for instance. A number of balls are arranged in a row and rollably held and also each ball is retained by a pair of spherical seats. These spherical seats are mutually connected by collars to constitute a retaining unit of balls and a plurality of the retaining units are connected like beads with flexible joints. The spherical seats and the collars are molded with a resin material and the joints are formed with a material larger in tensile strength than the resin material.
Abstract:
Pipe joint connector (10) comprising a flexible elongate portion (12), wherein the flexible elongate portion is provided with a plurality of rotatable members (14).
Abstract:
A rolling bearing strip for a power operated rotary knife providing bearing support for rotation of a rotary knife blade with respect to a blade housing. The rolling bearing strip includes: a plurality of rolling bearings disposed in spaced apart relation; and a flexible separator cage for positioning the plurality of spaced apart rolling bearings, the flexible separator cage including interlocking first and second ends, the first end of the separator cage including a wall defining a projecting member and the second end of the separator cage including a wall defining a receiving member, the first end projecting member and the second end receiving member being in opposed facing relationship and the first end projecting member extending into the second end receiving member to secure the first end to the second end and form an annular, continuous rolling bearing ring.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a slider for a linear guide device adapted to move along a track rail disposed on a fixed portion such as a bed and a column so as to guide a moving body such as a work table of a machine tool and an industrial robot under a load comprising a first process of machining a metallic block main body constituting a core of the slider into a predetermined shape and forming a surface on which a ball is caused to roll under a load on the block main body, and a second process of inserting the block main body in a mold for forming a mold forming material and forming from the mold forming material an endless circulating path for the ball, wherein the corner portion of the block main body that corresponds to a portion where the endless circulating path is formed is chamfered in the first process.
