Abstract:
A valve with a dual rotational valve member is provided. The valve includes a first valve member and a second valve member. An actuation arrangement is operably positioned between the first valve member and the second valve member to rotate the first valve member in a first direction and the second valve member in a second direction opposite the first direction. This counter-rotation of the first and second valve members selectively aligns or misaligns a pair of flow ports of the first valve member with a pair of flow ports of the second valve member. When the pairs of flow ports are aligned, the flow path of the valve allows for straight through flow of a fluid through the valve thereby decreasing turbulence, back pressure, and noise.
Abstract:
A valve apparatus (100) for use in sterile fluid transfer or isolator systems has open entry (10) and exit (11) sides and a passageway (9) for fluid between the entry (10) and the exit (11) sides. The entry side (10) is connectable to an opening (4c) of a vessel or pipe (4) and the exit side (11) is connectable to downstream processing by means such as tubing, a vessel or a pipe. The entry side (10) includes a rupturable seal (2a) blocking the open entry side (10). Valve (100) also includes an actuator (5) attached to a piston (1) which moves within the valve (100), the piston being connected to the seal so that on movement of the piston, the seal is torn free from the entry side thereby allowing fluid gain entry to the valve (100) and to pass along the passageway (9) between the open entry (10) and exit (11) sides to downstream processing.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a connector for connecting a paint container (1) having an aperture to a gravity feed spray paint gun. The connector comprises a coupling (7) for connection to the container's aperture and, in use, for mounting the container above the spray gun; a paint feed channel (10) for feeding paint from the container into the spray gun; and an air feed channel (13) for feeding air into the container as paint is fed into the spray gun.

Abstract:
An actuator assembly includes a housing, and a clamp disposed within the housing. The clamp is configured to attach the actuator assembly to a damper jackshaft or valve stem or valve linkage shaft. The jackshaft is operable to control the position of one or more damper blades. The valve stem and valve linkage shaft control the position of the valve plug. The clamp is accessible via a slotted opening which is unobstructed at one end. A motor is configured to rotate the clamping device within the housing. A control module is coupled to the motor and configured to control the damper or valve actuator assembly. In embodiments, a communications module facilitates communications to and from the damper actuator assembly over a network, and allows both remote monitoring of the damper and remote control of the damper actuator assembly or of the valve and remote control of the valve actuator assembly.

Abstract:
Apparatus to bias valve closure members as described. An example biasing apparatus includes a first spring seat (202) that has a first seating surface and a first protruding member extending a predetermined distance from the first seating surface and a second spring seat (204) that has a second seating surface and a second protruding member (216) extending a predetermined distance from the second seating surface. The first and second protruding members engage to slidably couple the first and the second spring seats.
Abstract:
A medical stopcock (10) is provided that is constructed and arranged to withstand high pressures and gamma radiation. The stopcock (10) generally includes a housing (12) and a valve member (14). The valve member (14) is trapped within the housing (12) so that when subjected to relatively high pressures, the valve member (14) is unlikely to become separated from the housing (12). A handle member (16) is attached to the valve member (14) and allows the valve member (14) to be rotated from open to closed positions. In some preferred embodiments, the handle member (16) locks the valve member (14) within the housing (12) when attached. All of the components are constructed of gamma-stable materials so that the stopcock (10) may be sterilized in its package using gamma irradiation.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a sterile transfer device for fluids, be they liquids or gases. It is comprised of a body having a bore formed through at least a portion of its interior. Preferably, it is a central bore formed through the entire length of the body. Contained within the bore is a movable plunger. The body has a first and a second end. The first end contains a face designed to be attached to the upstream component. The second end is connected to a downstream component such as a filter, pipeline, sample bag and the like. The plunger has corresponding first and second ends. The first end of the plunger when it the closed position is in alignment with the face of the body which combined form a steamable surface and a sterile barrier against the environment to the rest of the interior of the body, the plunger and downstream components.
Abstract:
With the aim of overcoming the Seal (3) breaking that is always seen in the Ball valves and the shortages that is experienced correspondingly, it has been aimed to manufacture a ball valve which is long-lasting and operates properly by means of opening-closing without contacting the Seal (3) with the Ball (2) when the valve is being opened-closed.
