The invention is a tapping assembly for use on a pipe or tank. It includes a hollow body that sits flush on the outer wall of the pipe or tank and includes a plurality of locking members that sit flush within the body and form a threaded portion into which a cap is inertable. Each locking member extends into the interior of the pipe or tank, and has an outwardly extending flanged portion that engages with the inner sidewall of the pipe or tank. When the cap is tightened against the body, it causes each of the locking member to retract, thereby causing the respective flange portions to lock the assembly against the pipe or tank wall. The assembly can be manufactured to provide either an orthogonal tap, or an angled tap, relative to the longitudinal axis of the pipe, or plane of the tank sidewall.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Leitungsanschlussstück, insbesondere eines Ablaufstutzens eines Kraftstoffinjektors, mit einem Rohrteil (10) und einem Strömungskanal (14) in dem Rohrteil (10) zum Durchleiten eines Mediums. Das Rohrteil (10) weist einen verjüngt zulaufend ausgebildeten Kopplungsbereich (15) auf, um einen Mantelabschnitt der medienführenden Anschlussleitung (18) zu durchdringen, wobei der sich durch das Rohrteil (10) erstreckende Strömungskanal (14) mit wenigstens einer Öffnung im Kopplungsbereich ausmündet. Der Kopplungsbereich (15) ist bevorzugt konusförmig ausgebildet, wobei sich dort der Strömungskanal (14) in mehrere radial verlaufende Querkanäle (17) aufteilt, die an der Kegelmantelfläche ausmünden. Die Kopplung erfolgt durch Pressen eines Mantelabschnitts auf die Kegelspitze (16) des Rohrteils (10), wobei der Kopplungsbereich (15) den Mantelabschnitt der Anschlussleitung (18) durchbohrt und den Kontakt für den Volumenstrom des Mediums freigibt. Eine den Mantelabschnitt umschließende und am Rohrteil (10) verrastbare Halteklammer (19) dient zur Sicherung gegen Schüttelbelastungen.

A press-in coupling arrangement including a cast socket (16) that comprises a first frustro-conical internal surface (18) and a second frustro-conical internal surface (20). The first frustro-conical internal surface (18) has a draft angle 'A'. The draft angle 'A' may be 2 degrees or more, but preferably the draft angle 'A' will be in the range from 2 to 5 degrees. The draft angle 'B' may be 2 degrees or less. Generally, it is preferably that the internal surface having the lesser draft angle is disposed between the opening (24) of the socket (16) and the internal surface having the greater draft angle. A circumferential sloped surface (22) is formed at the opening (24) of the socket (16). The first and second internal surfaces (18, 20) each have a surface finish Ra value of about 3.2. Such a value is achievable without the need for post-cast machining due to the draft angles on the inner cast surfaces.

The invention relates to a female part (2) of a fluid plug connection, comprised of an insert part (6), which can be removeably inserted into a connection opening of a housing part and which has a through opening (8), and of a retaining ring (10). Said retaining ring can be deformed in a radially elastic manner and is held in the area of the through opening (8) whereby enabling a plug part (4) to be locked in a positive manner by the retaining ring element (10) thus preventing the plug part from releasing. This plug part, from an insertion side (16), is to be plugged via a plug shank (12) thereof into the through opening (8) in a sealing manner. On the face (18) of the insert part (6), which is located opposite the insertion side (16), the retaining ring element (10) is, together with a plug locking section (20), arranged outside of the through opening (8) of the insert part (6) and is locked together with the insert part (6) by a retaining section (22) engaging in said insert part (6). The retaining ring element (10) is, together with the locking section (20) and the retaining section (22), provided in the form of a one-piece plastic shaped part.

Various systems and apparati as well as devices and structures are provided which may be used or incorporated into air handling systems (e.g. (air) ventilation systems and apparati) for the manipulation or control of air in a enclosure such as a building, a room of a structure such as a residence, and the like. Such air handling systems ( e.g. ventilation apparati or systems) may for example include an element for the transfer of heat from warm exhaust air (taken from inside an enclosure e.g. a building) to cooler exterior fresh air (drawn into the enclosure e.g. building). The present invention further relates to air handling systems (e.g. ventilation systems and apparati) which may not only exhaust stale interior air to the outside of an enclosure but as desired or necessary also intermingle a portion of such stale air with fresh air for delivery of the intermingled air back into the enclosure ( during cold or warm weather). The present invention in particular relates to air handling systems (e.g. ventilation systems and apparati) which may exploit warm interior air as defrost air for defrosting the system during cool weather.

A connector assembly (10) for use with tubular conduits (30) is disclosed which is a male portion (31) that is put into a female portion (12). The male portion (31) makes use of the end of the conduit (30) itself, and the female portion (12) only requires a stepped bore. The seal (50), stabilizing bushings areas (34) and retainer (138) are carried on the male portion. The seal (50) may be retained on the male portion (31) and the connection (10) may be either a quick connect or require a tool to assemble. The connection (10) may seal the highest pressures and withstand very high forces on the male and female portions (31, 12). Also disclosed is the use of this connection in a multiple port device. The connection may be completed in the depth and diameter that is allotted to a "thread-in" or "flare" connection.
