Beim Einführen des Rohrnippels (11) in die Buchse (10) stößt die Hülse (12) an der Buchse (10) an und wird dann längs Rohrnippels (11) verschoben, bis der innere Vorsprung (21) bei korrekter Verriegelung der Kupplung in eine zweite Ringnut (17) einschnappt. Wird der Rohrnippel (11) nicht so weit in die Buchse (10) eingeführt, dass der Sperrring in die erste Ringnut (15) einrastet, so bleibt die zweite Ringnut (17) außerhalb der Hülse (12) zur Anzeige des nicht ordnungsgemäßen Kupplungszustands sichtbar.

The male member (120) is coupled to the waste disposer and has one or more anchors or tabs (128). The female member (110) is coupled to the waste line (102). The female member has one or more locking members (114) adapted to lock the female member (110) to the one or more anchors (128) of the male member (120). In another embodiment, the connector assembly includes a mounting flange, a connector flange, and a locking member. The mounting flange is coupled to the disposer and has a locking portion and an anchor portion. The connector flange is coupled to the waste line and has a first portion. The anchor portion of the mounting flange holds the first portion of the connector flange adjacent the mounting flange. The locking member is attached to the locking portion and holds a second portion of the connector flange adjacent the mounting flange.
