Abstract:
A mechanical securing assembly (40) is adapted to secure the structural integrity of a flow passage formed by at least a first pipe part (41) and a second pipe part (42). The assembly comprises a connecting member (43), a first fastening member (44), attached to the connecting member and adapted to secure the connecting member to the first pipe part, and a second fastening member (45), attached to the connecting member and adapted to secure the connecting member to the second pipe part. The connecting member comprises a spring element (46) exerting a force pulling the first fastening member and the second fastening member towards each other along a primary axis (y), and thus being adapted to force the first pipe part and the second pipe part towards each other. The spring element is extendable along the primary axis by a compression of the spring element along a secondary axis forming an angle to the primary axis.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are disclosed for at least partially repairing a defect in a tubular composite layer. The apparatus comprises a plurality of independently movable abutment elements (3820) each supported in a spaced apart relationship via a respective one of at least one support member (3810). Each abutment element is associated with a respective drive axis along which the abutment elements are movable and the drive axes of all abutment elements extend outwardly from a common centre point.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for restoring and for installing the thermal insulation capacity of the external jacketing of jacketed elements such as tubular pipes, connection elements and other jacketed elements, which are positioned on the seabed, which device comprises an envelope having fastening and/or clamping means, which is able to be mounted on said jacketed elements, which is characterized in that the device includes, inside its envelope, an elastomeric thermal insulation component of the gel type, having the shape of a solid or apertured lining/blanket secured to said envelope and compressed by being clamped onto the jacketed element during its installation.
Abstract:
A pipe-clamping tool (200) comprises a tool body (202) and first and second tool jaws (204, 206). The tool further comprises a bar (210) in threaded engagement with a portion of the tool body.
