Abstract:
The present invention provides a system for pivotally mounting a radiator on a wall such that the radiator may be swung away from the wall at the top to facilitate cleaning and the like, the system comprising: a) an upper bracket to releasably hold an upper portion of the radiator adjacent a wall; and b) at least one adjustable lower bracket for fastening to the wall to support a lower portion of a radiator at a support location spaced away from the wall such that the radiator is able to pivot on the lower bracket and swing away from the wall at the top when released, c) wherein the lower bracket includes an adjustment mechanism to adjust the spacing between the support location and the wall, comprising a wall mounting part having pivotally mounted thereon a hook, the adjustment mechanism providing a plurality of securing points in the wall mounting or hook and having a projection which is securable at a selected one of the securing points, and d) wherein the hook or the wall mounting has a camming surface which, in use, bears against the projection when the hook is pivoted relative to the wall mounting such that angle between the hook and the wall mounting part of the lower bracket is adjustable by adjusting the location of the projection, thereby to adjust the spacing of the support location from the wall.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an apparatus arranged to raise a radiator from a bracket and support a radiator in a pivoted position so that a surface adjacent the bracket is accessible for decoration.
Abstract:
A device for supporting panel radiators comprising a plate (10) which can be fixed to a wall or to a floor by using anchoring means (14) and is provided with engagement means (16, 17) for a clamp (18) which is separate from the plate (10) and is composed of two jaws (19, 20) between which a portion (21) of a lower part of a radiator (22) is enclosed and locked.
Abstract:
A demountable junction for tubular members is described and is formed as follows. A first tubular member (2) has a circumferential groove (4) in an external wall. A second tubular member (3) has a plurality of circumferential slots (9) therein and an open end which receives the first tubular member in sliding engagement. A circlip (6) is formed from a resilient material and includes a plurality of peripherally disposed inwardly extending segments (5). The segments (5) are received in the slots (9) in the second tubular member (3) and in the groove (4) in the first tubular member (2) when the slots (9) and the groove (4) are in register. An 'O'ring (8) forms a seal between the first and second tubular members. Such a junction is simple to manufacture and allows the tubular members to rotate relative to one another when the two are coupled together.

Abstract:
A pipe coupling for central heating radiators comprises first and second body portions (10,11) for respectively connecting to a port of the radiator and to one of the central heating pipes P leading to the radiator. In use, a pair of couplings are respectively fitted to the inlet and outlet ports of the radiator. The first and second body portions (10,11) of the couplings are rotatably interconnected by a union, which also permits relative vertical movement of the body portions transverse the rotational axis. The couplings initially enable the radiator tobeliftedvertically offits hangers, so that it can then be pivoted downwardly about the rotationalaxis away from the wall, in order to facilitate cleaning and decorating behind the radiator. A support arm (60) facilitates lifting of the radiation and acts to support the radiator whilst it is off its hangers.
Abstract:
A modular heat exchange system for use in central heat exchange installations in buildings. The system comprises at least one heat exchange element equipped for exchanging heat between environmental air and a fluid which is conducted through the heat exchange element, said heat exchange element having a predetermined first shape. The system further comprises at least one non-heat-exchange add-on element, equipped for adding a given additional functionality to the system, having a predetermined second shape, such that the first shape of the heat exchange element continues into the second shape of the add- on element. The invention also relates to a central heat exchange installation in a building, comprising both a central heating unit and a central cooling unit.
Abstract:
