Disclosed is a heat pump comprising a combustion engine, an expander circuit (200) and a compressor circuit (300). The expander circuit comprises a boiler (201) for producing a steam, an expander for superheating the steam (210), a first expander (220) for expanding the steam and transferring mechanical energy to a shaft (223), an expander heat exchanger (215) for heating the steam before it enters a second expander (225), a condenser (230) for condensing the expanded steam and a pump (233) for returning the condensate to a boiler. The compressor circuit (300) comprises an evaporator (310) for evaporating water to steam, a compressor (320) for compressing the steam before it is entered into the expander heat exchanger (215) for cooling, a condenser (330) for production of a condensate and a valve (340) for reducing the pressure of the condensate before it is delivered to the evaporator (310). The heat pump produces a first heated medium (500) in the condensers for e.g. district heating and a second cooled medium (400) in the evaporator, which may be discarded to the environment or used e.g. for refrigeration or air conditioning.

Refere-se a presente invencâo a um motor térmico e seu ciclo termodinâmico de oito processos, mais especificamente trata-se de uma máquina térmica caracterizada por dois subsistemas termodinâmicos interligados, cada um opera um ciclo termodinâmico de quatro processos, porém interdependentes entre si, formando um ciclo compiexo de oito processos, opera com gas, o circuito deste sistema binário é fechado em configuracão diferencial, baseado no conceito de sistema termodinâmico hibrido ou tambem pode ser chamado de sistema termodinâmico binario, este sistema realiza um ciclo termodinâmico composto por oito processos de forma que o mesmo executa em qualquer momento do ciclo, dois processos simultaneos e interdependentes, complementares, sendo quatro destes processos "isotérmicos" e quatro "isocóricos" com transferência de massa variável, podendo esta ser nula ou parcial.

In an embodiment, a distillation system and process thereof is provided. The system 100 includes an evaporation vessel 102 having means for heating a liquid contained therein and producing vapours thereof and a condensation vessel 104 having means for cooling and condensing the vapours produced in the evaporation vessel 102. A connecting pipe 106 for connecting the evaporation vessel 102 and the condensation vessel 104 and for transferring the vapours from the evaporation vessel 102 to the condensation vessel 104, wherein the amount of vapours transferred from the evaporation vessel 102 to the condensation vessel 104 depends upon the pressure differential between the evaporation vessel 102 and the condensation vessel 104 and area of opening of the connecting pipe 106.
