A refrigerator (10) and a method utilize a pair of tandem evaporators to provide cooling for both a compartment and an ice making system (48) of the refrigerator (10). An upstream evaporator (72) in the pair of the tandem evaporators provides cooling for a compartment such as a freezer, fresh food, flexible cooling, or quick cooling compartment, while a downstream evaporator (82) is in fluid communication with the upstream evaporator (72) to receive a portion of the air cooled by upstream evaporator (72) and further cool the received portion for use in cooling one or more components of the ice making system (48).

A dyke formed on the rear surface of the door is provided with a roller, which is supported by the bottom surface of the storage compartment. A roller cap having a roller accommodation space to accommodate a part of the roller is connected to the dyke, and the roller is rotatably mounted to the roller cap.
