Abstract:
A testing apparatus may include a stand having an aperture and a platform adjacent to the aperture, a clamp adjacent to the platform and configured to hold a coupon, and an actuator within the aperture. The actuator is configured to impart a first force on the platform and the coupon at a specified frequency. The testing apparatus may also include a displacement sensor adjacent to the stand and configured to measure a displacement of the coupon and circuitry connected to the actuator and the displacement sensor with the circuitry configured to collect data from the actuator and the displacement sensor.
Abstract:
An apparatus for close visual inspection of subsea pipelines comprises a housing with a chamber that has an open side. The open side is adapted to be placed in sealing engagement against the pipeline. The chamber is flooded with clear water to improve the visual view. It is also described an apparatus for identification of a plume exiting from a leak The apparatus comprises a housing defining a chamber with a water permeable side that is adapted to face downward during use, and thereby being exposed to the exiting substance. A gas pressurizing device for creates a gas/water interface within the housing. An imaging device arranged above the water surface is adapted to image the water surface and detect id the water surface is being disturbed by the plume.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for detecting a blowout in an irrigation pipe. The irrigation pipe is extruded. Further a positive air pressure may be created by circulating air through the irrigation pipe. The irrigation pipe with positive air pressure is then fed into a tank, wherein the tank comprises a coolant liquid. Further at least one air bubble is trapped at a surface of the tank.
Abstract:
Provided is a monitoring device (1) for gaseous fuel. The device comprises a body (2) formed with a reservoir (45) covered with an observation window (68), an inflow passage (86) extending from an inlet port (3) into the reservoir, and an outflow passage (58) extending from an outflow port (4) to the reservoir. The inlet port is for connection to a gaseous fuel source and the out let port is for connection to gas conveying means (214) for supplying gaseous fuel from the network or container (s) to one or more gas appliances. The reservoir is partially filled with a mixture of a liquid which remains in liquid state between at least from -5° to 50° Celsius and a surfactant capable of breaking down oily substance. The liquid mixture is filled to a level above the inner end of the inflow passage. One or more baffle members (61) are provided in the reservoir at a position above the liquid mixture and the baffle member extends across the outflow passage.
