The present invention relates to alarm apparatus (300), in particular an alarm apparatus having at least two separate parts (100, 200). The alarm apparatus (300) comprises: an alarm unit (100) and a user portion (200) for generating a localised alert, the user portion (200) has an attachment means (1) for attaching the user portion about or onto a part of the user's body, the user portion (200) includes a lock (1) which in use is adapted to lock the user portion about or onto a part of the user's body, the alarm unit (100) and user portion (200) in use are located apart one from another and the lock is adapted to unlock the lock (1) and/or disable the alarm upon presentation of the user portion (200) to the alarm unit (100). The user portion (200) can be charged by the alarm unit (100) when attached thereto.

A watch (100) for use in a time-dependent authentication system, said watch (100) comprising: a mechanism having one or more moving components to measure and/or indicate passage of time, such as hands; a sensor subsystem (101, 102) configured to sense a mechanical configuration of said one or more moving components with respect to the fixed watch dial and to generate an output signal indicative of said sensed mechanical configuration; and a transmitter (107) configured to transmit said signal for use as a predictable, time-variant authentication token dependent on the mechanical configuration of the watch (100). In other words, the time-varying authentication token is related to the time-varying pattern formed by the positions of the hands onto the watch dial. The output signal is measured using a capacitive, an ultrasonic or an optical probe.

La présente invention concerne un instrument d'écriture comprenant : - un corps de préhension tubulaire (10) à l'intérieur duquel il y a un logement pour recevoir une réserve d'encre, - une pointe d'écriture (12), à une extrémité du corps de préhension tubulaire (10) susceptible d'être reliée à une réserve d'encre, - un mécanisme horloger (14) logé dans le corps de préhension tubulaire (10). Personalized wall clocks and kits for making the same are disclosed herein. A kit includes an image receiving medium to receive thereon a personalized digital printed image. The image receiving medium includes a digital ink/toner receiving layer or has a digital ink/toner receiving surface structure. The kit also includes a foldable material which includes a face portion having two opposed surfaces and at least four sides. One opposed surface is to receive the image receiving medium. The foldable material includes a foldable extension extending from each side of the face portion. Each foldable extension is to be folded no less than four times toward another of the opposed surfaces to form a three-dimensional supporting frame. The kit includes a hand-moving mechanism.

A smart-watch can include a wristband, a base, and a flip up portion. The base can be coupled to the wristband and include a housing, a processor, a wireless transceiver, and a tactile user interface. The wireless transceiver can be configured to connect to a wireless network. The tactile user interface can be configured to provide interaction between a user and the smart-watch. The flip up portion can be displaceable between an open position exposing the base and a closed position concealing the base. Further, the flip up portion can include: a top display exposed when the flip up portion is in the closed position, and an inside display opposite the top display. The inside display can be concealed when the flip up portion is in the closed position and be exposed when the flip up portion is in the open position.
