Abstract:
Disclosed is a hair care appliance comprising a body having an outer wall and an inner wall, a fluid flow path extending from a fluid inlet to a fluid outlet wherein the fluid outlet is at least partially defined by the inner wall, a heater for heating fluid in the fluid flow path and, a thermistor for measuring the temperature of fluid between the heater and the fluid outlet, wherein the thermistor is retained with respect to a housing and the housing forms part of the inner wall. The housing may comprise a base that engages with the inner wall. The housing may further comprise an arm wherein the arm supports the thermistor and extends radially inwards of the inner wall. The housing may comprise two arms and the thermistor is suspended between the two arms. The inner wall may comprise an aperture into which the housing is inserted.
Abstract:
A CVD device (100) includes a process chamber (102), in the wall of which first to fourth cartridge heaters (146, 148, 150, 152) are buried. The heaters have resistance whose value increases with temperature. A heater controller (160) determines the heater resistance from the current and voltage values associated with each heater. The heater controller (160) corrects a reference resistance corresponding to a set temperature by using a correction value corresponding to the temperature detected by a temperature sensor (250), and multiplies the corrected reference resistance by the temperature distribution constant of each heater to determine the target resistance. The heater controller (160) properly controls the phase of the AC power supplied to each heater so that the heater resistance may follow the target resistance. The first to fourth cartridge heaters (146, 148, 150, 152) are thus controlled accurately.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for provisioning a component of an HVAC system are presented. A provisioning device, such as a smartphone, is used to scan HVAC component information obtained from a tag on each component and wirelessly transfers the information to a thermostat or HVAC system controller. The thermostat or system controller automatically configures itself to control the equipment based on the details in the tag which are transmitted to the thermostat. The label may include barcode or textual information, which is decoded by software executing in the provisioning device, the thermostat, or a server computer in communication with the provisioning device or the thermostat. In embodiments, the HVAC component information is transmitted to a web services application to facilitate the installation, support, maintenance, and repair of the HVAC system.
Abstract:
An electronic temperature switch (10), comprises a measurement circuit (11) that measures temperature and generates an temperature signal corresponding to the sensed temperature; an evaluator circuit (12) that receives said temperature signal and compares said temperature signal to a lower threshold value and an upper threshold value, and generates an evaluation signal indicating when said temperature signal is between the lower temperature threshold value and an higher temperature threshold value; and a loading circuit (13) that in response to the evaluator circuit, generates a first pre-set output signal indicating when the temperature signal is between the lower threshold value and the higher threshold value, and a second pre-set output signal when the temperature signal is not between the lower threshold value and the higher threshold value.
