Abstract:
A monitoring system includes a sensor, a monitoring camera, a power control apparatus, a master device that is connected to a fixed telephone network so as to perform calls to other fixed telephones, and a mobile phone terminal that is connected to other mobile phones via a mobile phone network. When an abnormality is detected, the sensor, the monitoring camera, or the power control apparatus transmits an abnormality detection signal to the master device. When the abnormality detection signal is received, the master device converts at least a part of the abnormality detection signal so as to generate notification information, and transmits the notification information to the mobile phone terminal. The mobile phone terminal displays a warning screen based on the notification information on the display unit.
Abstract:
A house monitoring system includes at least one sensor that detects a predetermined event, a master device that communicates with the sensor, and is connected to a fixed telephone network so as to perform calls to other fixed telephones, and a mobile phone terminal that includes a display/input unit, performs wireless communication with the master device by using a wireless router, and is connected to other mobile phones via a mobile phone network. When the sensor detects the predetermined event, the master device transmits information regarding the sensor having detected the predetermined event to the mobile phone terminal, and the mobile phone terminal displays the information regarding the sensor having detected the predetermined event transmitted from the master device on the display/input unit.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a security system and a security method using the same. The security system continuously photographs a monitoring space with a photoelectric conversion sensor to acquire images, analyzes the acquired images, and drives an IR sensor to obtain a thermal image when movement in the monitoring space is detected. When a monitoring object is detected from temperature distribution of the acquired thermal image, a still image is acquired from the photoelectric conversion sensor and a call to a previously inputted telephone number of a recipient is made to transmit the acquired still image through a wireless transceiver, and then a user terminal receives and displays the transmitted still image. With the present invention, since it is possible to configure a system only with a security unit into which various equipments such as a camera are integrated and a terminal which a user carries usually, effects of easy installation and low cost can be obtained.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for compressing and decompressing still image and video image data in mobile devices and monitoring applications. Corresponding mobile device and camera architectures, and service platform architectures for transmitting, storing, editing and transcoding still images and video images over wireless and wired networks and viewing them on display-enabled devices are also provided.
Abstract:
An alarm transmission system and method for summoning assistance in response to a problematic situation, with police, consumer and helper versions. In all versions, a fast data transmission mobile phone is carried by a user, which is capable of transmitting real-time on-site video images (a video call) to a server. In the police version and helper version, the real-time on-site video images are transmitted to a monitoring device, which may cause transmission of the real-time on-site video images to a rescuer communication device or otherwise take action in response to the video transmissions. In the consumer version, the user of the phone will communicate with an inter-active voice response system, which may trigger transmission of the real-time on-site video images to a rescuer communication device. In all cases above, the video calls are recorded live. An innovative testing system is constructed to measure the delay at the video call.
Abstract:
A personal security module (21) that is capable of being carried by a user (15), the module (21) comprising a controller (37), an actuator (39) that can be operated by a user (15) in the event of an emergency, and an interface (41) by means of which signals may be transmitted from the module to a mobile terminal (17), wherein on operation of the actuator (39) the controller (37) is configured to send a signal to the mobile terminal (17) via said interface (41), said mobile tenninal (17) - on receipt of a said signal from the module (21) - being configured to function in a predetermined emergency mode that includes performing one or more operations.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a security system. The security system of the invention includes trigger event sensors, including a motion sensor and a smoke sensor, a surveillance camera, a surveillance microphone, and an electronic control circuit, including a transmitter compatible with a cellular communications network. In use of the system, it is connected in communication with such a network. In response to receiving an input indicative of a trigger event, the control system transmits, via the network, an output signal indicative of the trigger event to a remote telecommunications device of which the contact number is stored in a memory of the control circuit. The control circuit can transmit images and sounds captured by the camera and microphone to the remote device. The system can receive instructions from a remote communications device, via the network, for controlling a local external device, e.g. a light.
Abstract:
A torch casing (10) with a reflector (46) and a bulb (44) incorporates camera (48, 50, 52) taking pictures through front face (64) and employs flash tube (58) behind the camera chip (50) reflecting off reflector (46) and reflected onto reflector (46) by mirrored surface (60) on the back of camera chip (50). Captured images, still or video, are exported by radio frequency unit (22) to, for example, secure and supervised store (124). Ultraviolet unit (65) causes fluorescence which is photographed by camera (48, 50, 52). Display screen (70) shows camera (48, 50, 52) images or received images. The apparatus continuously sends its position determined by GPS navigation. Sounds can be recorded, sent and received. Iris patterns and fingerprints can be recognised from an updated store.
Abstract:
A method of remote video surveillance includes receiving surveillance images captured from a plurality of different premises (22) via communication lines (50, 52) of a public network (28). The images are distributed to a plurality of client computers (24, 36, 38, 40), so that each of the computers displays images captured from a different one of the plurality of premises.
