보컬 하모닉 코딩을 위한 인코딩 장치, 디코딩 장치 및 그 방법이 개시된다. 그 인코딩 장치는, 보컬 객체 신호와 인스트루먼트 객체 신호를 포함하는 복수의 입력 객체 신호를 가중합하여 다운믹스 신호를 생성하고, 상기 복수의 입력 객체 신호의 서브 밴드 파워를 정규화하여 공간 파라미터를 생성하는 SAOC(Spatial Audio Object Coding) 파라미터 생성부 및 상기 공간 파라미터를 이용하여 상기 다운믹스 신호에서 상기 인스트루먼트 객체 신호를 재생시킬 때 발생하는 하모닉 성분을 제거하기 위해, 상기 보컬 객체 신호로부터 하모닉 정보를 생성하는 하모닉 정보 생성부를 포함한다.

Captured vocals may be automatically transformed using advanced digital signal processing techniques that provide captivating applications, and even purpose-built devices, in which mere novice user-musicians may generate, audibly render and share musical performances. In some cases, the automated transformations allow spoken vocals to be segmented, arranged, temporally aligned with a target rhythm, meter or accompanying backing tracks and pitch corrected in accord with a score or note sequence. Speech-to-song music applications are one such example. In some cases, spoken vocals may be transformed in accord with musical genres such as rap using automated segmentation and temporal alignment techniques, often without pitch correction. Such applications, which may employ different signal processing and different automated transformations, may nonetheless be understood as speech-to-rap variations on the theme.

Eine Vorrichtung zur Erzeugung einer polyphonen Melodie, die es ermöglicht, unabhängig von der musikalischen Vorbildung des jeweiligen Benutzers und damit von einer möglichst großen Anzahl von Benutzern bedienbar zu sein und dabei für den Benutzer ansprechende Ergebnisse in Form polyphoner Melodien zu liefern, umfasst eine Empfangseinrichtung (114) zum Empfangen einer Anforderung zur Erzeugung der polyphonen Melodie, die ein Audiosignal, das eine gewünschte Melodie beinhaltet, und eine Stilinformation, die einen gewünschten Musikstil für die polyphone Melodie angibt, umfasst, eine Verarbeitungseinrichtung (102, 104, 108) zum Verarbeiten des Audiosignals, um eine Notenfolge zu erhalten, die die gewünschte Melodie darstellt, eine Begleitungsermittlungseinrichtung (108, 110) zum Ermitteln einer Begleitung zu der Melodie basierend auf der Notenfolge und der Stilinformation, und eine Vereinigungseinrichtung (110) zum Bilden der polyphonen Melodie auf der Basis der Begleitung und der Notenfolge.

Wells may be provided with a substance that is selectively solid and fluid. An electronic string instrument emulator has an electromagnetic string and a bow with ferromagnetic material. A method for performing musical instruments includes adjusting the temperament of the instrument during performance based on the music being played. A keyboard instrument may be caused to sound using suitably arrayed electromagnets.
Abstract:
A device (100) which can be used to control a musical performance contains a sensor which outputs an electrical signal. The sensor may be formed by providing a fixed contact (110) and a hollow contact (108), wherein movement of the device causes the contacts (108, 110) to meet. Other features of the device include a user-adjustable sensitivity feature, a button (104) for starting/stopping, and a sliding switch (102) for sending volume information to the playback devices. The device may be provided as part of a system which includes a score-following apparatus.
Abstract:
Despite many practical limitations imposed by mobile device platforms and application execution environments, vocal musical performances may be captured and, in some cases or embodiments, pitch-corrected and/or processed in accord with a user selectable vocal effects schedule for mixing and rendering with backing tracks in ways that create compelling user experiences. In some cases, the vocal performances of individual users are captured on mobile devices in the context of a karaoke-style presentation of lyrics in correspondence with audible renderings of a backing track. Such performances can be pitch-corrected in real-time at the mobile device in accord with pitch correction settings. Vocal effects schedules may also be selectively applied to such performances. In these ways, even amateur user/performers with imperfect pitch are encouraged to take a shot at "stardom" and/or take part in a game play, social network or vocal achievement application architecture that facilitates musical collaboration on a global scale and/or, in some cases or embodiments, to initiate revenue generating in-application transactions.
