Abstract:
An apparatus for allocating subchannels is provided. The apparatus includes: a subchannel allocation coefficient determination unit determining a subchannel allocation coefficient using a queue length of at least one terminal and a signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) of the at least one terminal and at least one relay station in an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) system; and a subchannel allocation unit allocating a subchannel to at least one link formed in the OFDMA system using the subchannel allocation coefficient.
Abstract:
There is provided a method of configuring the downlink component carrier between one or more linkage methods for PHICH reception on User Equipment (UE), which is configured for carrier aggregation, over a mobile communication network. This method includes (a) providing an indicator, and (b) determining whether the PHICH carrier linkage should be dynamic linkage or cell specific, based on the value of the indicator.
Abstract:
Systems and methodologies are described herein that facilitate interference control and resource management in a wireless communication system. As described herein, a base station, terminal, and/or other entity in a wireless communication system that observes interference from one or more other network entities can construct and communicate resource utilization messages (RUMs) in order to request the interfering network entities to conduct power backoff on designated resources. Parameters constructed as a function of quality of service (QoS) and/or priority metrics (such as head-of-line delays, queue lengths, burst sizes, delay targets, average rates, or the like) can be included within the RUM, such that an entity receiving the RUM can compute QoS changes associated with various power backoff levels in order to select a power backoff level that maximizes overall system QoS performance.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an original method of frequency access multiplexing on networks with metallic pairs and a system of electronic apparatuses of reference that can cooperate with one another to implement this method. The method for access multiplexing on networks with metallic pairs comprises the steps of: - dividing ultra-broadband transmission frequencies into a hierarchical structure organised in bands, the last level of which comprises spectral resources obtained by applying a dual fairness criterion; - reserving said spectral resources obtained by the aforesaid division into a hierarchical structure for separate operators; - applying interference suppression techniques to said spectral resources.
Abstract:
A system and method for scheduling cooperative uplink transmissions in a virtual multiple input multiple output (MIMO) wireless communication environment are provided. More specifically, the present invention provides both random and channel aware orthogonal scheduling techniques for identifying a sub-set of N mobile terminals to provide cooperative uplink transmissions for each transmit time interval.

Abstract:
Methods, apparatuses, and systems for radio link monitoring (RLM) implemented by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) are provided. A representative method for RLM includes mapping, by the WTRU, one or more RLM-RS resources to at least one BLER threshold of a plurality of BLER thresholds. The representative method also includes, for each respective RLM resource that is mapped, determining, by the WTRU, a BLER of the respective RLM-RS resource, and comparing the determined BLER of the respective RLM-RS resource with the at least one mapped BLER threshold associated with the respective RLM-RS resource. The representative method further includes generating, based on one or more of the comparisons, a set of in-sync indications and/or a set of out-of-sync indications, and indicating, by the WTRU, one or more attributes associated with the set of in-sync indications and/or the set of out-of-sync indications.
