Abstract:
Abstract:
A forensic authentication system includes an imaging device to capture an image of a printed mark and a non-printed area of a substrate directly adjacent to the printed mark, and a processor to run computer readable instructions. The processor can run computer readable instructions to utilize a model to define a substrate region that corresponds with at least a portion of the non-printed area of the substrate directly adjacent to the printed mark; and computer readable instructions to generate a substrate signature for the defined substrate region. Each of the computer readable instructions is embedded on a non-transitory, tangible computer readable medium.
Abstract:
An image signature creating method includes: creating a map by partitioning a still image using rings defined by concentric circles radially spaced apart from each other by a predetermined interval and radial lines circumferentially spaced apart from each other by a predetermined angle, the center of the still image being that of the concentric circles; and creating an image signature from the created map on the basis of distribution of pixels in regions defined by the rings and the radial lines. Accordingly, distribution of illegal contents is prevented and interrupted by search for and discrimination of a still image illegally deformed by a copying of or an intended attack on the still image.

Abstract:
Systems and methods to detect unauthorized changes to a printed document are described. In one aspect, a digital signature of original content associated with electronic document is embedded into the original content to create a content signed document. The systems and methods use the embedded digital signature to automatically determine whether text-based content associated with a printout of the content signed document was changed from the original content associated with the electronic document.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for authenticating an identification of a person includes a portable computing device having a pair of imaging devices directed to a common location so as to generate a stereographic image of a subject. The portable computing device includes software for processing the image data to generate two dimensional and three dimensional biometric data of a person to be identified. The device is used to generate the biometric data for an identified person and then may be used to authenticate the identity of the person through comparison of newly acquired biometric data from the person to be identified to the previously acquired biometric data of the identified person.

Abstract:
A document security system for securely printing douments that are uniquely marked on each page of ordinary or specialized paper with a security mark such that copying and or alteration is prevented, the security mark comprising information relating to the document and further being unique to each page having specific information relating to each page of the document.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A handheld device (100) is capable of communicating wirelessly with a ticket issuer (200) through a network (300) or by using a short-range link such as Bluetooth, IrDA, or the like. A ticket is purchased using a payment system (400). A user selects an image from a data store (120) and transmits it to the ticket issuer (200) along with data associated with the requested ticket. This data may comprise identification data of the user and/or the device (100), data concerning a requested validity of the ticket, data concerning the payment method and/or an optional reservation number. The ticket issuer (200) receives the request then transmits to the user a template, which the user then fills in before transmitting payment data, the completed template and the selected image from the user device (100) to the ticket issuer (200), as one or more SMS and/or MMS messages. If the data is verified as satisfactory, the ticket is then created by the ticket issuer (200) and visible and/or invisible watermarks are embedded into the image. The processed picture/image and the template are combined with additional data to generate a valid image digital ticket for the ticket user, which is then sent to the user or to an address or device which the user has given.
