Abstract:
The invention relates to a door arrester which is joined to a door hinge, for automobile doors. The door arrester consists of a retaining device which is connected to the hinge half that is allocated to one of the two door parts, the door or door pillar, and a braking device which is connected to the hinge half that is allocated to the other door part. The braking device of the door arrester has at least two braking or retaining bodies (10) which are subjected to a spring load whilst the retaining device has at least one detent ramp (28, 29) which is allocated to said braking or retaining bodies. The retaining device with at least one detent ramp (28, 29) is formed by an at least ring-shaped body (16) which is arranged concentrically in relation to the braking body support (9). One of the two devices, the retaining device or the braking device, is rotationally driven in dependence on the movement of the door. According to the invention, the braking and retaining devices are laterally offset from the door arrester and oriented so that they are parallel to the hinge axis (24), on the hinge half (1) in which the hinge pin (3) is mounted with a running fit. This is partly to improve the spatial configuration of the door arrester and partly to improve its effectiveness.
Abstract:
The invention pertains to a bilateral hinge arrangement enabling doors, windows or flaps on furniture or the like, especially on household refrigerators, to be opened alternatively from either side. The invention is characterized in that when the door (1) is closed the hinge elements (7; 19) fastened to the sides of the door form a non-positive fit with the corresponding hinge sockets (6; 13) fastened on both sides of the door opening (3); that the hinge elements (7; 19) are designed as circular disk segments, the center line of which aligns with the center line of the hinge rod (2, 2') when the door (1) is closed and also with the hinge socket (6; 13) and the rod retainer (5) when the door (1) is closed; that the contour of the hinge elements (7; 19) partially corresponds to the inner contour of the hinge sockets (6; 13); that the hinge elements (7; 19) can be inserted radially into the hinge sockets (6; 13) and turned to form an interlocking closure with them, and that when the door (1) is open the hinge sockets (6; 13) on one side of the door maintain a detent position of positive rotatable engagement with their corresponding hinge elements (7: 19), while the hinge elements (7; 19) on the other side of the door are disengaged.
Abstract:
The invention provides apparatus for fitting a decorative door to an existing washing machine or other domestic electrical appliance, when it is desired, to match the appliance to the decorative theme/colour scheme of a kitchen. The assembly includes an ''L'' shaped extruded aluminium plate (100) which can be secured to a domestic appliance by means of rubber faced magnets (102). Hinges on the plate are adapted to receive a door to cover the appliance and match the same to the kitchen's decoration thus creating an ''integrated'' appliance.
