The present invention provides an apparatus and method for controlling the flow of fluids through a conveyance (20) with a hydraulic valve including a flexible portion (10). The flexible portion is positioned in the conveyance so that fluid enters the flexible portion from an upper containment space (40) and the expansion of the flexible portion causes the valve to restrict or block the flow of fluid being controlled through the conveyance. A float-operated mechanical make-up valve (70) is provided to automatically maintain a desired fluid level in the containment space.

A method of controlling air pressure in a chamber, wherein the air pressure in a chamber in which laser measurement is conducted is maintained at a set level with respect to the variation of an external air pressure, characterized by comprising detecting the external air pressure, determining a long-standing flat pressure value with respect to short-term fluctuation of the detected external air pressure, preparing a set inside-chamber air pressure by adding a predetermined air pressure to the flat pressure value thus determined, and detecting an inside-chamber air pressure while introducing an outside air so that the inside-chamber air pressure reaches the set air pressure.

La presente invención se refiere a un: Dispositivo Automático-Manual para Controlar la Salida de Agua y Cualquier Fluido; de Funcionamiento Mecánico y Fácil instalación. El cual presenta una boquilla de admisión roscable de entrada de agua y cualquier fluido, la cual puede ser girada para direccionar dicho Dispositivo según convenga, también consta en su interior de dos imanes con polaridad inversa, un resorte, dos membranas de hule con orificios, una membrana de hule sin orificio, dos soportes para dichas membranas, una cámara de aire, un anillo de metal accionado a voluntad, un mecanismo de funcionamiento con las siguientes posiciones: on-off, un tubo doble de cobre que se sumerge en el recipiente a llenar, una manguera de hule que conecta el tubo doble de cobre con la cámara de aire, un mecanismo de accionamiento en las posiciones manual y automático para el funcionamiento de dicho Dispositivo. El funcionamiento de la presente invención es provisto y tiene por objeto el cerrar el paso de agua y cualquier fluido al estar lleno el recipiente, cisterna, pila, tonel, tina, bañera, inodoro, piscina y otros depósitos por medio de la presión hidrostática que ejerce el mismo deposito de agua por medio del tubo doble de cobre conectado por la manguera e hule a la cámara de aire que ejerce la presión necesaria para separar los imanes y así cerrar el orificio de paso del fluido.

A valve for the addition of water to electrochemical accumulator batteries and for maintaining the flow of liquid at a constant level. A membrane (24) in a valve body (12) is biased by means of a spring (26) against a wall (28) arranged concentrically with an inlet orifice (16), said wall creating an inner chamber (30) of circular cross-section and an outer chamber (32), which is of annular cross-section and is connected to an outlet connection (18) via a constricted orifice (20). A spindle (34) at the centre of the membrane passes freely through the inlet orifice and exhibits outside the latter a conically enlarged part (36), the cross-sectional area of which increases in proportion to the distance to the inlet orifice, serving as a valve seat, and which is intended to provide a seal when the spring yields to the membrane.
