Abstract:
A multi-function carrying handle and suspender either for engaging a cap (22) and a shoulder (24) of a bottle (26) simultaneously in such a manner so as to better distribute carrying load so as to avoid puncturing the shoulder (24) of the bottle (26) when being carried or for facilitating turning the cap (22) of the bottle (26) or for suspending a suspendable article (28), which includes a body, (230) an arm (232), and fingers (234). The body (230)has a through bore (236) engaging the cap (22) of the bottle (26) when used to carry the bottle (26) or when used to facilitate turning the cap (22) of the bottle (26). The arm (234) extends arcuately outwardly from the body (230) to a terminal end (232), and carries the bottle (26) when used to carry the bottle (26) or facilitate turning the cap (22) of the bottle (26) when used to facilitate turning the cap (22) of the bottle (26). The fingers (234) extend laterally outwardly from the terminal end (238) of the arm(232), from a longitudinal axis (240) of lateral symmetry of the arm (232), and engage the shoulder (24) of the bottle (26) in such a manner so as to better distribute the carrying load so as to avoid puncturing the shoulder (24) of the bottle (26) when used to carry the bottle (26).
Abstract:
A hands-free system for connecting and disconnecting a tool from an adjustable length extension pole. The system includes first and second slidably interconnected elongated members, a tool-holding assembly releasably coupled to the second elongated member, and a locking assembly disposed between the first and second elongated members. The relative sliding of the first and second elongated members can be selectively restrained by rotating the first and second elongated members relative to one another. The tool-holding assembly can be disconnected from the second elongated member by sliding the first and second elongated members together.
Abstract:
Abstract:
An oral care implement has an improved handle for control. The handle may include a gripping region having a grip surface with a plurality of spaced slot openings exposing portions of the base.In one construction, the handle may have an inclined portion and a grip body extending through a base of the handle. The grip body forms opposite finger grips on the inclined portion of the handle. In one construction, the handle may include a grip element which provides shifting of a mass centroid of the handle during use. In another construction, the handle includes a resilient grip body and the handle includes an aperture extend through the handle. Aperture has an inclined surface for engaging a resilient grip body.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an instrument for manual operation (1) comprising a stem (2), an attendant member (3) disposed at a distal end of the stem (2), and a hand grip (4) disposed at a proximal end of the stem (2), having a substantially round shape and being fixed in the extended direction of the stem (2), wherein the stem (2) is placed eccentrically in relation to the hand grip (4), such that the body of the hand grip (4) has an axis that runs next to the axis of the body of the stem (2), at a side away from the attendant member (3), wherein at the functional side of the attendant member (3), the hand grip (4) possesses a first curve (5) and at the side opposite the functional side of the attendant member possesses a second curve (6) that differs from the first curve.
Abstract:
A handle conversion device (20) for facilitating movement of a wheeled object (12) which includes a preexisting handle with a grip member (14) having a longitudinal axis (15) positioned in a plane substantially parallel to a desired direction of movement. The handle conversion device includes a hand grip (22), a neck (24) and an attachment portion (26). The hand grip includes a longitudinal axis (34) orientated substantially perpendicular to the plane occupied by the grip member of the preexisting handle, and substantially within the plane defined by the forward and reward movement of the wheeled object (12). The attachment portion includes a hook member (36) and a retention member (38) which, in combination, act to releasably retain the grip member of the preexisting handle, to controllably maintain the substantially perpendicular relationship of the hand grip for the handle conversion device to the preexisting handle.
Abstract:
The handle for a garden implement (2) has a bow shaped end section (11), a straight middle section (6,4) and an end prong (10a) for mounting the tool head. The S-shaped bow formed handle end has a first straight handle section (9) connected to the straight middle section by a bend (9a). A second handle section is connected to the first by a further bend.
Abstract:
A portable support handle (10) for assisting individuals in exiting and entering motor vehicles. The support handle (10) is designed to removably engage a door striker pin (60) of the vehicle when the door is in an open position. The handle preferably comprises a metal shaft including a pin engagement portion sized to lockably fit into an opening defined by the striker pin in a deployed position; and a grip portion which extends laterally from the striker pin in the deployed position to provide a secure, readily accessible temporary support.
Abstract:
A finger supporting structure F comprises a grip portion and a finger supporter T formed thereto. Said grip portion is of an elongated bar shape and having adequate length and thickness for a hand to grasp. Said grip portion is either all or some part of a grasping member of an implement or all or some part of a gripping member G having internal hole to receive the grasping member of an implement. Said finger supporter T is a laterally extending projection rigidly formed, in one piece, on the grip portion. Said finger supporter T is angled to be inclined with respect to the axis X of the grip portion in order that the resultant force of the muscles of the digits and hand can be generated and exerted to the optimal. Said finger supporting structure F is embodied in the grasping members of various implements and thereby provides gripping parts H having finger supporter T of said implements.
Abstract:
A stabilizer (10) is provided for attachment to the generally flat bar (13) of a wood turning tool (12). The stabilizer comprises a generally cylindrical sleeve having a central axially extending slot (25) sized to receive the flat bar of the tool. The tool and stabilizer combination is rotatably supported on a tool rest (14) associated with a lathe, such that the combination contacts the tool rest at a point that is vertically aligned with any point along the cutting blade of the cutting tool, substantially eliminating any rotational torque that could otherwise be generated as the cutting tool is moved into cutting engagement with the turning wood.
