Abstract:
A stethoscope shield system comprising a plurality of substantially planar shield stacked one upon the other with an adhesive disposed there between, each of the shields including a first surface having the adhesive applied thereto and a second surface such that adjacent shields adhere to one another with the first surface of each of these shields adhenng to the second surface of an adjacent shield with a first shield of the plurality of shields being adhered to the diaphragm of the stethoscope for supporting the stacked shields, wherein the adhesive disposed between the stacked shields has at least one of a consecutively increasing bonding area and a consecutively increasing adhesive bonding strength, and an exposed shield of the stacked shields is removed after contacting the body of a patient.
Abstract:
This security device for confidential information, mentioned in a document (D), includes an element (1, 4) forming a data storage medium and removable element (6), masking the information (C). It includes, in addition, at least one zone of structural weakness (30, 31) provided for in the document (D) near the data storage medium element (1, 4), with this zone (30, 31) forming one piece with the removable masking element (6).
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention relate generally to adhesive strips (10) for reversibly resealing open bags (12), such as food bags. More particularly, the preferred strips comprise a decorative motif and/or a textured surface, which may be provided in a dispenser.
Abstract:
A protective device (10) for attaching to and protecting at least one article (20) includes a cover (12) having an attachment surface (12a) and a display surface (12b) opposing the attachment surface. An adhesive coating (14) is applied to the attachment surface of the cover to facilitate adhesion of the cover to an article. A removable backing (16) is releasably attached to the adhesive coating and at least one relief notch (34) is formed in the cover through the attachment surface of the cover and terminates beneath the display surface of the cover.
Abstract:
A roll (20) of contaminant removal tape (22) defining opposing longitudinal ends (24, 26), opposing side edges (28, 30), and opposing major surfaces (32, 34). The tape is wound into a roll and includes a backing layer (38), an adhesive layer (36), a plurality of lines of perforations (40), and a set of discrete non-adhesive zones (42). The adhesive layer (36) is applied to a first side of the backing layer (38) to define a portion of the first major surface (32). The lines of perforations (40) extend across at least most of the width of the tape (22) between the first and second side edges (28, 30) to separate the tape into sheets (44). The non-adhesive zones (42) are provided along the first major surface (32) of the tape (22), with each non-adhesive zone extending from the first side edge (28). In one embodiment, the lines of perforations (40) are progressively longitudinally spaced from one another, and respective ones of the non-adhesive zones (42) correspond with respective ones of the lines of perforations (40).
Abstract:
A printing stock assembly (106) for printing identification badges with a roll-fed label (108) printer includes a release liner and a plurality of stock badges. The release liner may have a plurality of spaced apart weakening lines. Each of the stock badges includes a face stock and an adhesive layer. The stock badges are releasably attached to the release liner in single-file manner between the weakening lines, respectively. The face stock the stock badges includes a verso half and a recto half divided by a fold line. In addition, the face stock may include a pair of strap apertures formed in the verso and recto halves in a mirror image about the fold line. Accordingly, after printing, a stock badge may be removed from the release liner, thereby exposing the adhesive layer. The face stock may then be folded about the fold line such that the adhesive layer of the verso half is adherent to the adhesive layer of the recto half to form a two-sided identification badge. The strap apertures aligned with each to form a through hole to receive a strap.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a label sheet, comprising, in the following order, a support material (10), an adhesive layer (12), a release layer (14) and a printable layer (16), whereby the support material is a transparent film and both the printable layer, including the release layer and also the support material including adhesive layer have one or more separation lines which are applied such that partial regions are formed and the separation line(s) in the support layer (20), including the adhesive layer extend(s) beyond the boundary region of the separation line(s) in the printable layer (18) including the release layer. The invention is characterised in that regions of a non-adhesive material (22) are embedded in the surfaces of the adhesive layer adjoining the release layer, and/or regions of a non-adhesive material (22) are applied to the surfaces of the adhesive layer adjoining the release layer, or the adhesive layer (12) is present in the form of a raster, or the printable layer (16) has a surface roughness of 4 to 50 ñm (DIN 4768) on the upper surface thereof (17), or the adhesive layer (12) has a surface roughness which may be obtained by providing the underside (15) of the printable layer (16) with a surface roughness of 4 to 50 ñm (DIN 4768). The invention further relates to a label produced from said label sheet and a method for production thereof.
