The arms are moved by providing a convex arcuate contact portion (44) located about the pivot point of the arm. A piston rod and cylinder (52) are mounted adjacent to the contact portion. An arm engagement member is coupled to the piston rod and cylinder and engages the contact portion of the arm so that linear movement of the arm engagement member causes the arms to pivot.

The sector gear (122, 202) with the guard flange (160) formed thereon protect a spring connected to the sector gear (122, 202) and a locking bolt (166) from attack.

A second portion of the slider actuates a switch of the motor control circuit when the drive member moves the slider to a first position relative to the first switch. In various embodiments, the switches of the control circuit are not embodied as a part of an IC.
