Abstract:
A scraper employs a support arm for mounting to a frame of an agricultural implement and a frustoconically bowl-shaped scraper member rotatably supported on the support arm in a position facing the open end of the bowl toward a ground-engaging wheel or disc. The scraper member includes a sharpened edge for improved cleaning action and uses a flanged bearing on a closed flat end of the frustoconical bowl for optimal rotational action. Different embodiment disclose unique mounting arrangements, including embodiments with a single sole support arm for ease of assembly, using bends, twists or combinations thereof to achieve suitable positioning of the scraper without additional support pieces, and including other multi-piece embodiments with multiple points of adjustability to allow optimal placement and adjustement of the scraper.
Abstract:
A quick-change harrow tine assembly wherein a first member is selectively and non-rotatably connected to a second member, allowing for replacement of damaged or worn harrow tine segments or tine tips without requiring replacement of the entire coil tine unit.
Abstract:
A ground driven agricultural wheel for use as a press wheel or press harrow comprising a helical coil having a first end, a second end and windings therebetween, the coil having spring characteristics to allow sufficient flexure and relative movement between the windings, wherein the first and second ends are mounted to a hub assembly.
Abstract:
An earth working scraper (10) for use removing and transporting earth is disclosed. The scraper includes a scraper blade (12) for scraping earth from a ground surface, a receiving area located near the blade for receiving earth scraped from the ground surface by the blade, a rotatable axle (16), connected with respect to the blade and receiving area, for providing transportation of the scraper, and a track apparatus (20) connected with respect to the rotatable axle. The track apparatus may include a continuous flexible track (22) having an upper length (23) and a ground-engaging lower length (21) and including an inner surface (24), an axle wheel (26) mountable to the rotatable axle for rotational movement therewith, the axle wheel engaging the inner surface of the flexible track along the upper length to drive the flexible track in response to rotation of the axle, and a frame (28) for mounting the axle wheel.
