A system and method for sorting fish where the system comprises; - a trawl (2) consisting of at least one trawl bag (3, 3', 3"), and where the at least one trawl bag (3, 3', 3") has an opening which covers a part of an inflow area in the trawl (2), - at least one monitoring device (6) arranged in connection with the inflow area and where signals can be transmitted to a processing unit from the at least one monitoring device (6), and - where a device, based on data from the processing unit, can move the opening in the at least one trawl bag (3, 3', 3") to a position where fish flow through the inflow area but on the outside of the at least one trawl bag (3, 3', 3").

The present invention consists of a smart fishing net for counting and weighing aquatic species, wherein sinkers act as a counterweight of the net, thus allowing the net to quickly sink when being thrown to the water. The net comprises the use of a main handline for gripping and handling thereof, this handline comprising a weighing machine or scale for the weighing process, while an end line is provided at the periphery of the net delimiting it and being used as a holding or supporting means. By means of concentric inner circular ropes and radial inner ropes, the net is provided with rigidity and support; said net preferably consisting of a mesh fitted with movement sensors detecting pulses or pulsating movements generated by the species trapped in the net.

The invention relates to a fishing system (102), a fish processing line (18, 22) and/or vessel (2) provided therewith, and a method (26) therefor. The fishing system (102) according to the invention comprises a fishing net (6) for catching shrimps or fish; transfer means (14, 15, 16) connected operatively to the fishing net (6) for bringing on board the caught shrimps or fish; an automatic detection device (18) configured to detect, classify and if desired sort the shrimps or fish brought on board; a registration system (104) connected operatively to the detection device (18) and configured to receive, store and read and/or transmit data (108) obtained with the detection device (18) about the shrimps or fish brought on board, wherein the data (108) comprise information about the quantity, classification and location of the caught shrimps or fish.

A method and a device for detection of physical or approximately physical bottom contact for objects, for instance fishing tackles, which are dragged closely above or on a sea bottom, said method consisting of sensoring an alteration of a force acting on a tension sensor (4) as a consequence of a mass (7) coupled to the tension sensor (4) coming into physical contact with tha bottom, said alteration being used as indication of bottom contact, and that frictional forces (F2) being due to the dragging of the mass (7) along the bottom mainly are taken up by means of a tension release means (8). The device comprise the mass (7) being suspended ina tension sensor (4) in such a manner that the sensor (4) is actuated by bottom contact, and at least one tension release means (8) connected to the mass (7) and adapted to take up forces caused by dragging of the mass above the bottom.

The invention relates to a filling ratio indicator for a trawl, Danish seine or a similar towable seine device with a net, comprising a main body arranged to be located on the surface of the net (100) and with attachment devices for attachment to the net. The invention is characterised in that it comprises at least one angle sensor (110) for measuring the angular position of the main body and thereby the angular position of an area of the net in the immediate vicinity of the sensor and a processing unit for providing, based on the said measurement, an indication of the filling ratio of the trawl, Danish seine or seine device. The invention also relates to a method and a system for providing an indication of the filling ratio of a seine device.
