Abstract:
A modular approach to mounting medical equipment on evacuation litters employs litter engagement members of various configuration and a plurality of rail members all having the same sectional profile. The rail members can be mounted to a variety of connectors and auxiliary pieces such that equipment supporting structures can be built on a patient bearing litter without sacrificing access to the patient.

Abstract:
The invention provides a table comprising a table top assembly, including: a first table end segment and a second table end segment, each arranged at opposed ends of said table; at least one central table segment disposed generally intermediate with respect to said first and second table end segments, said table end segments each being displaceable from a retracted position in abutment with one said fixed table segment to an extended position spaced thereform to form a space; and at least one removable extension table segment configured for being removably positioned in each said space. A modular system is also provided for enabling assembly of a plurality of table configurations, based on any desired combination of: movable table end segments; fixed central table segments; extension table segments adapted for being inserted into spaces created when moving said table end segments to a said extended position; and leg assemblies.
Abstract:
A cover and patient restraint for use with a radiologic imaging table having an upper surface on which a patient may lie, the cover having a central section corresponding generally to the length and width of the patient supporting surface of the table and a width substantially greater than that of the supporting surface so the opposite sides of the cover form flaps which extend beyond and depend from the upper surface of the table to prevent the collection on the table surface of liquids. The cover includes a pad of cushioning material inboard of the flaps to enhance the comfort of a patient lying on the cover. Restraining straps are coupled to anchor strips extending longitudinally of the cover adjacent opposite sides of the pad so as to enable the straps to be placed in overlying relation to the patient in any selected one of a large number of adjusted positions. The cover is encapsulated in a pliable, washable, radiologic inert coating.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A patient transporter having a deployable expandable support structure that provides "semi-rigid" to "rigid" additional support to the patient transporter is provided. A method of using the patient transporter by deploying the expandable support structure is also provided.
Abstract:
An extensible table with a top panel (30) fixed to a main frame (10). A sliding frame (50) can be pulled away from the top panel. (30) thereby pulling along an extension leaf (40) stored below the top panel (30). When the extension leaf (40) is fully clear of the top panel (30), the sliding frame (50) is pushed towards the center of the table, causing the extension leaf (40) to rise up to the same height as the top panel (30) and a continuous table-top surface is formed. To transform the table back to its initial size, the sliding frame (50) is again pulled away from the center of the table, towing the extension leaf (40) along with it. A guide rail (42) located on the underside of the extension leaf (40) drops it back to its initial height. The sliding frame (50) is then pushed inwards again, so the extension leaf (40) slides underneath the top panel (30).
