Abstract: A system and method for processing organic material, the system 50 having four stackable housings 100, 200, 300, 400, in which a first housing 100 contains upper grinding teeth 114, a second housing 200 contains lower grinding teeth 214, and when organic material is added to the second housing 200, the upper grinding teeth 114 and the lower grinding teeth 214 work together to crush the organic material into smaller pieces and granules. The second housing 200 contains holes 216 to allow the smaller pieces and granules to fall into a third housing 300, where a filter 320 catches the smaller pieces but allows the granules to fall to a fourth housing 400. The smaller pieces trapped by the filter 320 can be removed through a sidewall opening 316 in the third housing 300, and the granules can be removed through a slot 416 in the fourth housing 400.

Abstract: An herb grinder comprises a first enclosure defining a first chamber for holding unground herbs, first and second grinding plates, and a second enclosure defining a second chamber that receives ground herbs. The first grinding plate defines an opening that allows unground herbs to pass from the first chamber. The grinding plates each have a plurality of grinding teeth. The second grinding plate is parallel to and spaced apart from the first grinding plate to define a grinding space therebetween. The second grinding plate defines a plurality of holes.
