Abstract: A method of assessing a wound in a subject is provided. The method comprises obtaining one or more optical coherence tomography images of the wound and analysing the one or more optical coherence tomography images using a deep learning model that has been trained to classify pixels in an optical coherence tomography image of a wound between a plurality of classes comprising a plurality of classes associated with different types of wound tissue, thereby obtaining for each image analysed, an indication of the location of tissue likely to belong to each of the different types of wound tissue in the respective image.

Abstract: The disclosure provides brain tissue acousto-optic apparatus and methods. The apparatus comprises an optical source (201) configured to emit light towards a target volume (250) containing brain tissue of a living subject, an optical detector (202) configured to detect light from the target volume, and an ultrasound source (203) arranged to provide an ultrasound field of spatially varying ultrasound amplitude in the target volume. The ultrasound field is arranged to modify the optical path length of light (212, 214) passing through the target volume (250), and to define a plurality of regions (210a-210f) in the target volume (250), wherein each region (210a-210f) provides a unique modification of the optical path length (212, 214).

Abstract: Systems and methods for performing a retinal angiogram, which can be used to non-invasively quantify retinal perfusion by measuring differences in retinal vascular density. The systems and methods can be used to measure a response of the vasculature, particularly in the choriocapillaris. The systems and methods can be used to diagnose neurodegenerative conditions, associated sleep and mood disorders, and measure metabolic reserve.
