摘要: A radar system (10) for vital signs monitoring such as at least heart rate or breathing and a method for mitigating random body movement and external interference effects in vital signs monitoring such as at least heart rate or breathing by employing a radar system (10) that is configured for providing in-phase and quadrature signals from reflected and received radar waves are provided. The problem of random body movement effects and external interference affecting vital signs monitoring is at least mitigated by decomposing and filtering a reconstructed displacement signal x(t) using a time and frequency analysis technique such as Short-Time Fourier Transform (STFT), followed by a Non-negative Matrix Factorization (NMF) operation. This decomposition allows the identification of time and frequency basis components containing the random body movement interference. Hence, the filtered signal can be reconstructed after removing the random body movement components, thus enabling reliable and robust vital-signs parameter estimation.

摘要: Cardiovascular or respiratory data of a subject is measured using a multi-sensor system. The multi-sensor system includes a mm-wave FMCW radar sensor, an IMU sensor, and one or more proximity sensors. The mm-wave FMCW radar sensor may be selected and its view angle adjusted based on positioning data regarding the subject obtained from the one or more proximity sensors. Each of the mm-wave FMCW radar sensor and the IMU sensor may acquire cardiovascular or respiratory measurements of the subject, and the measurements may be fused for improved accuracy and performance.

摘要: A method for measuring a biological parameter, other than glucose concentration, of a biological material is disclosed, as well as a computer readable medium and a sensor system for performing the method. The method comprises irradiating the biological material with optical radiation having a first wavelength between 400 nanometres and 25 micrometres; detecting a first signal from the biological material at the first wavelength; irradiating the biological material with radio-frequency, RF, radiation having a second wavelength between 1 millimetre and 30 centimetres; detecting a second signal from the biological material at the second wavelength; determining the biological parameter of the biological material based on the first signal and the second signal. The sensor system comprises an optical radiation source, an optical radiation detector, an RF radiation source, an RF radiation detector and a processing device.

摘要: This disclosure enables various technologies for tracking various objects (e.g., mammals, animals, humans, pets) within various defined areas (e.g., rooms, apartments, residences, vehicles, tents) to determine whether those objects satisfy or do not satisfy various criteria, signatures, or thresholds, which may relate to health, safety, or security of those objects within those defined areas. These technologies may be enabled via various radars (e.g., time-of-flight radars, Doppler radars) positioned within those defined areas to track those objects therein. For example, some of such radars may operate in a Ku-band inclusively between about 12 GHz and about 18GHz, a K-band inclusively between about 18 GHz and about 27 GHz, or a Ka-band inclusively between about 26.5 GHz and about 40 GHz, each of which has been unexpectedly found to be technologically beneficial for tracking those objects within those defined areas.

摘要: A method of optimizing a dataset from a phased-array radar to detect micro body movement of subjects due to heartbeat or respiration. The radar creates a 3D point-cloud data set, which is fed into an object identification algorithm to create at least one group of datapoints characterized by their proximity and their pattern of movement. The at least one group belonging to a single subject. Aggregating the datapoints of the group to form a velocity signal. A focus adjustment of said radar is done by dynamically focusing on a centroid of said at least one group.
