摘要: The digital suture devices can accurately record electrical activity in muscles, while reducing both tissue damage and increasing ease of use. In some examples, the digital suture device can include an adapter configured to be connected to a data collection and/or stimulus control system. The device can further include a sensor body electrically and mechanically connected to the adapter. The sensor body may include one or more sensor members extending from the adapter. Each sensor member may include a first section distal to the adapter, a second section including one or more arrays of one or more stimulating/sensing sites, and a third section configured to be used with a delivery device. The second section may be disposed between the first section and the third section. Each sensor member may include one or more sets of tissue engaging members disposed along a length of the second section.

摘要: A single-site (with possible delivery through multiple sites) stimulation technique allows for parameter adjustment to yield sustained long-lasting therapeutic effects. Prior to stimulation the presence/ strength of symptoms and/or the degree of neuronal synchrony are quantified using the biomarkers YS and YE. Their values are stored as reference values YS_0 and YE O, respectively. To find stimulation parameters that yield long-lasting therapeutic effects, stimulation steps and evaluation steps are performed. During stimulation steps, acute effect of stimulation are evaluated using the biomarkers YS. During evaluation steps, long-lasting effects of stimulation are evaluated using the biomarkers YE. Based on YS and YE, stimulation parameters are adjusted and further stimulation and evaluation steps are performed until a parameter set X has been found for which desired long-lasting therapeutic effects are obtained.

The support body (2) has a dome-like shape having a concave side (21a) and a convex side (22b), wherein the concave side (21a) forms the contact side (21) of the support body (2), and the support body (2) is designed with a flexibility such that after applying the electrode to the individual a force exerted centrally onto the connector side (22) and parallel to the central axis (A) leads to an upwards bending of the radially outer region (23) of the support body (2) in direction of the connector side (22), wherein the upwards bending of the radially outer region (23) of the support body (2) leads to a tilting of the plurality of outer contact pins (3) relative to the central axis (A) such that a tip (31) of the outer contact pins (3) moves radially outwards along the area of interest of the individual.
