Abstract:
The invention relates to a dental clamp, apparatus, kit and use of a dental clamp. The dental clamp comprising opposing bars arranged to grip one or more teeth therebetween, wherein the opposing bars are linked by at least one resilient arch, and wherein at least one of the opposing bars is flexible to enable it to conform to a curvature of a set of teeth.
Abstract:
A dental separator device includes an elastic body having a first end and a second end. A first surface engager is connected to the first end of the body. The first surface engager includes a first distal section and a first mesial section and a notch between the first distal section and the first mesial section. The first distal section and the first mesial section each include a pair of spaced apart hands. A second surface engager is connected to the second end of the body. The second surface engager includes a second distal section and a second mesial section, and a notch between the second distal section and the second mesial section. The second distal section and the second mesial section each include a pair of spaced apart hands. The hands are for engaging teeth and/or for creating adaptation pressure on a dental matrix stabilizer and/or dental matrix.
Abstract:
A three-dimensional (3D) scanner device for generating a three dimensional (3D) surface model of shaped objects, such as dental structures, applicable for use in the field of dentistry, particularly to dental prosthetics manufacturing is described. The scanning device can include a probe head having a particular configuration and utility. Methods and systems relating to the device and components thereof are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A dental device and system comprising a dental wedge with a light emitting diode circuit containing a secondary winding inductively coupled to a power supply circuit containing primary winding. The power supply circuit wirelessly provides power to the light emitting diode circuit and light emitting diode is activated as voltage is applied across it with the light energy output being in a range preferable for curing dental composite materials used to restore a damaged tooth to its undamaged state.
Abstract:
The present application is directed to a method for isolating a working area in a patient's mouth comprising providing a moldable elastomeric composition, molding the composition to provide a moldable isolation device having a desired shape, making at least one perforation on the isolation device, and positioning the isolation device inside the patient's mouth to isolate the desired working area through the perforation. In such an embodiment, the moldable elastomeric composition comprises a polysiloxane composition.
Abstract:
A dental wedge, for use in the inter- proximal space between adjacent teeth, includes a head portion, a body portbn, wherein, said body portion includes a backbone, wherein said backbone, viewed from the side, has a curved profile, said body portion includes at least three pairs of wings extending from the backbone, wherein said wings are separated by a plurality of notches such that the wings extend independently, and said body portion has three sections, wherein a proximal wing section includes a pair of wings closest to the head portion, a distal wing section includes a pair of wings furthest from the head portbn, and a central wing section has at least one pair of wings, and a neck portbn, wherein said neck portbn connects the head and body portions.
Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a device for retaining a matrix band about at least a portion of a periphery of a tooth to be treated, the device comprising: a first lug to fit on one side of a proximal contact between two teeth; a second lug to fit on the other side of said proximal contact, and a resilient body member connecting between the first lug and said second lug. The body member applies a restorative or clamping force biasing the lugs together against opposed sides of the proximal contact and holds the lugs such that they must be separated to fit over the proximal contact. The first and second lugs are pivotally coupled to the resilient body member to allow the resilient body member to rotate relative to the lugs while providing the clamping force biasing the lugs together.
Abstract:
Abstract:
