Abstract:
Disclosed is a dissolvable solid article, wherein the dissolvable solid article is formed by a homogeneous mixture comprising by weight of the article: from about 10% to about 50% of a water soluble polymer; from about 5% to about 80% of a surfactant; and from about 0.1% to about 40%, of a silicone, wherein the silicone has a particle size of from about 50nm to about 25micron. The present invention provides dissolvable solid articles which provide benefits from silicones while avoiding reduced dissolution speed, sticky feel and/or non-homogeneous conditioning benefit, silicone staining on substrates such as fabrics, and/or discoloration of the articles.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a foaming alcohol-based hand sanitizer having good foaming and virucidal characteristics by combining a linear siloxane polyether having a siloxane backbone with between 20 and 40 repeating siloxane units, two polyethylene glycol backbones each having between 10 and 20 repeating ethylene oxide units, and two polypropylene glycol backbones each having between o and 10 propylene oxide units, an alcohol such as ethanol or isopropanol, and water, where the hand sanitizer comprises between 0.01% and 5% linear siloxane polyether, more than 85% alcohol, and the balance is water.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition for treating keratin fibres, in particular the hair, comprising: a) at least one amino silicone; b) at least one non-amino silicone having a weight-average molecular weight of less than or equal to 1500 g/mol; c) at least one colouring agent chosen from pigments, direct dyes and mixtures thereof..
Abstract:
Sponges for cosmetic and/or medicinal applications are coated with a surface coating. The surface coating contains an elastomeric, non-silicone polymer, a certain silicone polymer, an encapsulated phase change material and optionally ceramic particles. The coated sponges have desirable haptic properties and efficiently absorb and release make-up and medicines for application to the skin.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition useful for washing and/or conditioning keratin fibres, and in particular human keratin fibres such as the hair, which comprises one or more anionic and one or more amphoteric or zwitterionic surfactants, one or more polymer(s) comprising at least one (meth)acrylic unit, and one or more silicones. The invention also relates to a cosmetic process for washing and/or conditioning keratin fibres using such a composition.
Abstract:
The instant disclosure relates to methods for treating hair, for example, methods for imparting desirable cosmetic properties to the hair, especially hair treated with a chemical treatment composition. The methods include: - applying a hair-treatment composition to chemically treated hair, for example, within 30 minutes from when a chemical treatment composition is rinsed from the hair, the hair-treatment composition comprising: one or more polyurethane latex polymers; and rinsing the hair-treatment composition from the hair within 30 minutes from applying the hair-treatment composition to the hair. After rinsing the hair-treatment composition from the hair, the hair may be subsequently dried and styled.
Abstract:
