A hair care composition comprising from about 10% to about 25% of one or more surfactants; from about 0.01% to 10% of one or more surfactant soluble antidandruff agents; from about 0.5 % to 10% of one or more thickening polymers that are able to raise the viscosity of the formulation to at least 3000 cps at 2s -1 ; wherein the composition without thickening polymer has a viscosity of less than about 3000 cps at 2s -1 and is unable to be thickened above 3000 cps at 2s -1 with sodium chloride salt in the range of about 0.1% to about 3%.
Abstract:
A method is provided which provides shine to hair. The method comprises applying a leave-on composition comprising an oil-in water polysiloxane emulsion having a viscosity of less than 7 Pa*s and a pH value from 4 to 8 to the hair. The emulsion comprises about 0.1% to about 10 % by weight of a non-volatile polysiloxane fluid and from 0.003% to 0.6% by weight of the emulsion of a rheology modifier, wherein less than about 0.015g of the non-volatile polysiloxane fluid are applied per gram of hair. The emulsion is applied by spraying with a particle size of the emulsion in the range of from 0.01µm to 10µm and the resulting film thickness of the non-volatile polysiloxane fluid at the hair after drying is in the range of from 100nm to 500nm, wherein more than 25% of the hair fibers are covered by the composition.

The present invention relates to a personal care composition and methods of using the same, the composition including an anionic surfactant, a cationic conditioning polymer, and a silicone emulsion wherein a total content of a cyclic polysiloxane having a general formula: is present in the silicone emulsion in an amount less than 2.5 wt% based on the total weight of all polysiloxanes, R is a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C10 alkyl or aryl, wherein m is 4 or 5, wherein the composition forms coacervate particles upon dilution with water, and wherein a percentage of the coacervate particles with a floc size of greater than about 20 micron is from about 1% to about 60% upon dilution with water.

The present invention is directed to a personal care composition comprising from about 12% to about 25% of one or more surfactants; from about 0.01% to 10% of one or more soluble scalp health active; from about 0.1% to about 4% of a thickening polymer wherein the thickening polymer is selected from the group consisting of homopolymers based on acrylic acid, methacrylic acid or other related derivatives, alkali swellable and hydrophobically-modified alkali swellable acrylic copolymers or methacrylate copolymers, soluble crosslinked acrylic polymers, associative polymeric thickeners and mixtures thereof; from 0.01% to 0.8% of a cationic polymer; wherein the personal care composition has a pH of about 4.5 to about 6 and wherein the personal care composition has a Haze value less than or equal to 25.

Abstract:
A hair care composition is provided imparting enhanced shine to hair. The composition comprises a) from 0.1% to 10.0% by weight of the composition of a non-volatile polysiloxane fluid; b) from 0.02% to 5.0% by weight of the composition of a surfactant mixture comprising a shining surfactant and a secondary surfactant, wherein the shining surfactant is a polyether siloxane copolymer; c) from 0.003% to 0.6% by weight of the composition of a rheology modifier comprising an acrylic acid/Vinyl ester copolymer; and d) a carrier suitable for the application to the hair wherein the viscosity of the composition is less than 7 Pa*s; and wherein the composition is free of ethanol. Further a method is provided imparting shine to the hair; the method comprising applying, preferably spraying, the composition as mentioned above to the hair, wherein the particle size of the composition is in the range of from 0.01μm to 10μm, preferably in the range of from 0.1μm to 1μm, more preferred in the range of from 0.3μm to 0.8μm and the resulting film thickness on the hair is in the range of from about 100nm to about 500nm after drying.
