Abstract:
A mobile air-filtering isolation system and method of using the system, the system comprising: a base; a frame extending upwardly from the base; an air filtration unit mounted to the frame; and at least one flexible curtain extending downward from the air filtration unit, whereby to form an enclosure. The method may comprise positioning the enclosure around a head and torso of a patient, and operating the air filtration unit so as to withdraw air from the enclosure.
Abstract:
A system for decontamination of patient care equipment and a system for decontamination of an interior space. In some embodiments, a decontaminant distributor is provided in an enclosure and coupled to a decontaminant generator system. The decontaminant generator system may include a decontaminant generator removably coupled to the decontaminant distributor at an exterior of the enclosure for allowing the decontaminant generator to be removed and connected to another decontaminant distributor associated with another system for decontamination of patient care equipment. An air agitation system may be provided in the enclosure for agitating air and decontaminant in the enclosure. In some embodiments, a portable system may be transported to an interior space for decontaminating the items in the space using hot-air decontamination. A rack configuration for drying patient care equipment may include at least one duct having openings in a top and/or bottom surface thereof for directing pressurized dry air toward the patient care equipment.
Abstract:
L'invention concerne un système autonome de limitation des conséquences d'un incendie dans un local. Elle concerne également un véhicule de transport intégrant un tel système et le procédé d'intervention associé.
Abstract:
The invention concerns an on-site treatment unit for an equipped (17) operator (16) having intervened in a contaminated environment. The invention is characterised in that it comprises at least a treatment station (10) comprising a treatment cabin (18) comprising a set (24) of static or dynamic heads (26) diffusing a treating liquid and means (54) for slowly rotating said operator.
Abstract:
A decontaminating system is disclosed for use by scuba divers, corpse removers, and rescue or cleanup workers to reduce their risk of infection and illness due to pathogenic microbes at the site of a disaster or crisis. This system uses a body suit (10) that can be pulled on over a wetsuit or other protective outerwear. During a disinfecting session, the suit (10) is coupled to an ozone generator or tank (20) by hose (24), which supplies a gas containing ozone at a concentration which can rapidly kill microbes, such as about 3% by volume. When the decontamination session is complete, usually within an hour, the body suit (10) is removed, and the wearer removes the sterilized wetsuit or other garment. The garment that has been removed is then placed with other equipment or tools in a tent-like enclosure, which is also filled with gas containing a microbicidal level of ozone, for additional decontamination of the interior surfaces that were not exposed inside the body suit (10).
Abstract:
A collapsible personnel isolation apparatus (10) for preventing unwanted contaminations of hazardous biological and chemical materials including a base (12). A cover (14) connects the base (12) by way of a zipper (20). A plurality of glove box ports (200) are provided to allow rapid and convenient treatment of the patient.
Abstract:
A system for cleaning equipment (105), comprising a washing unit (110) connected to a filter unit (150) through a discharge tube (120). The washing unit (110) comprises a washing chamber (101) with at least one inlet for a cleaning liquid (CL), wherein the washing unit (110) is configured to clean the equipment (105) with the cleaning liquid (CL), whereby a contaminated cleaning liquid (CCL) comprising polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) is obtained. The discharge tube (120) is configured to transport the contaminated cleaning liquid (CCL) from the washing unit (110) to the filter unit (150). The filter unit (150) comprises a plurality of filters arranged to filter the contaminated cleaning liquid (CCL), whereby a decontaminated cleaning liquid (DCL) is obtained and wherein the filter unit (150) further comprises a discharge outlet (170) to release the decontaminated cleaning liquid (DCL).
