Abstract: An example putter presented herein is designed manufactured in a way that allows for a golfer to adjust toe-hang, face material, and loft all in one club, in order to optimize the club for the day's game without having to purchase a new golf club each time one desires to try something new. The putter head can combine a removable, stackable face plate with a continuous range of shaft attachment points to allow a golfer to adjust each factor all in one club.

Abstract: Embodiments of multi-component putters comprising an upper portion and a lower portion are described herein. The upper portion is formed from a first material having a first density and the lower portion is formed from a second material having a second density. The first density is less than the second density. The upper portion is affixed to the lower portion via an adhesive or a combination of adhesives and interlocking geometry. The multi-component putter design provides increased forgiveness and moment of inertia compared to a putter formed from a single material.

Abstract: The invention presented herein is directed to a back cavity insert for a cavity-backed iron-type golf club head. The rear perimeter of the iron-type golf club head and the rear surface of a strikeface cooperate to define a back cavity. The rear perimeter can comprise any edge or percentage of the perimeter of the back cavity. An insert may be placed into the back cavity such that the insert covers at least 60 percent to 100 percent of the strikeface rear surface area. When the insert is attached to the iron-type golf club head strikeface rear surface, it will interact with the iron-type golf club head strikeface when the strikeface deforms and rebounds. The insert thickness, composition, and stiffened outer surface may unduly restrain the deformation or flexing of the strikeface and reduce the amount of energy returned to the golf ball.

Abstract: Described herein is a golf club head that comprises a sole contour that resembles a typical crown contour, and a crown contour that resembles a typical sole contour. The golf club head of the invention described herein comprises a flattened sole and a more curved crown. This structure can result in a lower center of gravity (CG) and reduced aerodynamic drag by delaying separation of air flow upon the crown. The structure of the golf club head described herein further increases discretionary weight and/or repositions discretionary weight to increase its distance from the club head CG, resulting in a CG positioned low and rearward, and an increased moment of inertia (MCI).

Abstract: A golf club head includes a metallic front body coupled with a rear body to define a substantially hollow structure. The metallic front body includes a strike face and a surrounding frame that extends rearward from a perimeter of the strike face. The rear body includes a crown member and a sole member coupled to the crown member. The sole member comprises a structural layer formed from a filled thermoplastic material and a fiber reinforced composite resilient layer bonded to an external surface of the structural layer. The structural layer includes a plurality of apertures extending through a thickness of the structural layer, and the resilient layer extends across each of the plurality of apertures. The structural layer and the resilient layer each include a common thermoplastic resin component, and are directly bonded to each other without an intermediate adhesive.
