    摘要: A method is described for realising a garment provided with a belt (1) to be worn on the lower limbs, and a relative garment provided with a belt (1), comprising steps of: having available a fabric (3) having a longitudinal extension axis (L); defining a weft direction (T) of the fabric (3), which weft direction (T) is perpendicular to the longitudinal extension axis (L); defining a warp direction (O) of the fabric (3), which warp direction (T) is parallel to the longitudinal extension axis (L); cutting a first plurality of portions of fabric (4) by making a first plurality of cut lines (5) having an inclined direction (I) with respect to the weft direction (T) and the warp direction (O); each cut line (5a) of the first plurality of cut lines (5) having an inclined direction (I) by an internal angle, with the weft direction (T) or the warp direction (0), comprised between 30° and 60°; coupling the portions (4a) of the first plurality of portions of fabric (4) to form a first strip (6); having available a first elastic strip (7); overlapping and fixing the first strip (6) and the first elastic strip (7) to one another so as to realise a belt (8); cutting a main body (9) conformed to at least partially cover the lower limbs of a person wearing the garment (1), when the garment (1) is worn; fixing the belt (8) and the main body (9) to one another.

    摘要: A composite material system having an aggregate bound by an elastomer encapsulant. The composite material (CM) is designed to defeat impinging projectiles by converting the kinetic energy (KE) in the projectile to damage in the aggregate and the elastomer and increasing the thermal energy in the CM and the projectile via frictional heating. In one embodiment, the CM comprises certain kinds of rocks encapsulated (or bound) in a hyper-elastic polymer, such as polyurethane ("PU"). The CM may be shaped into convenient shapes from modular assembly to create a ballistic resistant surface.

    摘要: The present disclosure generally relates to systems and methods for composites, including short-fiber films and other composites. In certain aspects, composites comprising a plurality of aligned fibers are provided. The fibers may be substantially aligned, and may be present at relatively high densities within the composite. For example, the composite may include substantially aligned carbon fibers embedded within a thermoplastic substrate. The composites may be prepared, in some aspects, by dispersing fibers by neutralizing the electrostatic interactions between the fibers, for example using aqueous liquids containing the fibers that are able to neutralize the electrostatic interactions that typically occur between the fibers. The liquids may be applied to a substrate, and the fibers may be aligned using techniques such as shear flow and/or magnetism. Other aspects are generally directed to methods of using such composites, kits including such composites, or the like.

    摘要: A manufactured hemp product comprising a plurality of adhesively bonded and pressed hemp strands where the majority of the hemp strands are of generally the same length and comprise a naturally-occurring, generally elongate internal structure extending generally along one axis of the strand that has been at least partially laterally broken and at least permeated by an adhesive. The hemp strands are oriented roughly parallel to one another along their length. The manufactured hemp product comprises an amount of adhesive between about 5% to about 49% by weight. The manufactured hemp product can be used as a wood substitute in terms of appearance and performance. The manufactured hemp products may have aesthetic and structural qualities that are suitable for high traffic, high visibility applications such as boards, blocks, beams, panels, flooring, furniture, building materials and other wood products.
